My wife and I have received ITA , we both have claimed for 3+ years of work experience in CRS points, wherein my total work experience is 4 years and my wife has 8 years of total work ex (with few months of gaps in between jobs). We need to decide who should be the primary applicant. Does she have a better chance of getting PR provided she will be showing job duties only for 4 years of work ex as for other 4 years it will not be possible to get that documentation. (in the personal history, she will be able to show joining letter, relieving letters, pay slips etc. for all 8 years but not the detailed job duties).
Appreciate your help!

First of all foreign work experience is maxed out at 3 years so it doesn’t matter which of you is the PA. If other factors such as age, language scores, education favours your wife, then she can be the PA. Unclaimed work experience needs to be mentioned in personal history so as not to have any gap in your history -She doesn’t need to provide experience letter for this

Claimed work experience is maxed out at 3 years and goes in work experience. It must be supported by letters.

Unclaimed work experience must be mentioned in personal history. It doesn't need any supporting letters.

You can claim work experience for secondary applicant only if it's in Canada and meets the rest of the work experience requirements.
