Hey
I was just curious , if someone has shown 3 years of experience as skilled worker but did not actually worked for complete 3 years. How do they verify it, i mean do they call or do they email to verify,? Or thet just believe anyways.

They can do, yes. They may email the person on the letter or directly email the company if they suspect anything may be false.

They do actually call the person, who has written the reference letter. They might ask all these questions from him.

How would they call? Its a twelve hour time difference. If they call everyone will be sleeping in my country.

Yea that is what I suspect too but my company does not have their own domain name email adresses. They all use gmail. Do you think it would be a concern for CIC?

CIC has third party agencies that verifies information through phone call and emails.

They do have immigration office in almost every country and agency to verify information you provide.

Just because CIC website has so many issue and glitches doesn't mean Canadian immigration is stupid. Don't take the process lightly and pay attention to every details you submit.

Yes they do and in some cases they double triple check everything.
For instance- in my brother's FSW file CIC called his employer and asked about his duration, his salary, job duties and some other stuff. After they hung up they immediately called back on the same number and asked my brother's work email that he had when he was working with them and after that they immediately called my brother and asked him his work email to confirm if its genuine. although every thing was genuine.
So yes CIC can do whatever they want.

It's an interesting question. Could those who landed in Canada confirm whether their employers were contacted to verify their employment?

The have local agencies to verify your every history even without calling them. So don't think of giving fake information.

I am not concerned about giving fake information. I am concerned about my employer as they are not friendly and does not guarantee what they will answer.
I am thinking i am better off mention them in my work history. As i believe CIC will not give me chance to explain if they find some misconception.

But thanks for feed back to all

The background verification is done by local visa office and not by CIC

They may or may not call. But it is safe to provide all the information legitimately. I understand that some employers are not very friendly, but even CIC understands that and would rather only verify if you actually worked with the company and not take feedback from your employer about you.

This a great topic!

I have the same concern as well.
My employer does not speak English, but my immediate supervisor knows a little bit of English i.e. can verify dates, salary and maybe duties in English. I worked there 5 years ago, I have not been in touch with them since then.

The company I worked for, they do not have a website. They were only 4 people at the time working there and that company is not active anymore. Same people working under a different name now. Is that an issue?

I am not concern about their answers and they can give me good feedback as they were happy with my performance. The only thing I could ask them now if I could get in touch with them, is to tell them to be prepared if somebody calls them. Is that enough?

Is pay stub necessary!? I worked there 5 years ago and I don't have pay stub?

What else should I be paying more attention to!?

Cheers,
Amin
