Does cic ask for medical exam only after documents completed?

Hi

I have a question about the process procedure..

This is my timeline in general:
App sent: jan 2014
App received: feb 2014
Request police certificate: July 19 2014
---- I explained my situation that they already have my original certificate in cic. I got an automatic reply.
Several minutes later, I got another email from another email addresss asking me to do medical examination.
I haven't got any formal reply from the police certificate email.

Now I am confused: should I just go forward with the medical exam without thinking about the certificate? Does the medical exam email mean that they already updated my material and go to the next step? Or should I still prepare for the police certificate as well as the medical exam? But if for the police certificate from Singapore, I need a special request letter from cic so that I can apply for the police certificate. And cic didn't reply me with it so I couldn't proceed with it by myself...

Thanks!!

Hi pestoo,

if your police certificate was valid by the time CIC received your application then you should be fine and its most likely a mistake on their end to ask for a new one so it good that you have replied and explained that.but if your police certificate was expired by the time CIC received your application then you should start working on getting a new one because CIC will ask again.
as for the medical, you should go ahead and do it there is no need to delay it as it has nothing to do with your police certificate, and its usually a good indicator that eligibility is passed but not certain unless you get the request for RPRF which clearly indicates that you have been found eligible and that medical/criminality and security is still ongoing.

good luck.

Hi There,

Can you please let me know if the COC of singapore is sorted out for you or not? I recevied the medical request but so far no request letter from CIC for Singapore COC. I emailed them as well as requested via post but so far no response.

Regards,
R

Don't ever try to build stories. Do you have evidence that MR are related to PC? Then why do you come up with a story that relates them?

PC and MR are not related.

Yes, usually MR are the last step before Passport Request, but that doesn't imply by any means that this is your case.

Call CIC and find out. This is your only choice.

Agreed. Friend of mine got PCC request and 2 days later got MR. These are unrelated things. And he did not submit PCC with his application.

I would suggest to try and get a new PCC. If CIC asks for it than it is possible that they need it because the PCC you sent with your application is lost/expired/not valid/else.

Hey all,

My wife got Spouse work permit today. she was here (in canada) with me on visitor status. so i applied her Workpermit(within canada) and i didn't submit any upfront medical document and visa officer didn't ask for her medical exam document and approved her application. Will it create any problem in future? and one more question is she already has a stamp for visitor visa for 10 years. Does she need to apply for TRV to stamp for work visa in her passport? Please help me to solve this issues.

Thanks
