Does 6 yrs old USA citizen needs TRV / Study permit

Hi Friends

My son is 6 yrs USA citizen who would accompany me to Canada once I get the Study permit(2yrs Diploma). Does he needs TRV or Study permit to stay and study in Canada with me. He would be in Kindergarten 2nd year.
