I arranged my whole documents in a sequential order and labelled every set of documents so that its easy for CIC officer working on the application to check my file.

Example:

application package
biographical pages of passport
language proof
2 pieces of ID
residence calculator
payment receipt

I used paper clip to group each set of documents:

Here is the link for the type of colored paper clips i had used:

I combined all the documents together using the binder clip.
Here is the type of binder clip that I had used:

Now, i still recommend you to to leave the stapled translations as it is because it is not supposed to be separated or un-stapled because the translator specifically told me the same.
How did you label? Just with a sticky? Or a separate piece of paper?

Oooops, I stapled each section of my documents, and used a binder clipper to put them together.

I did this with advice from my friend, who just went thru the procedure and obtained citizenship this January.

So I think it won't be a show stopper if each section is stapled.

The only place CIC require not to staple is the photo. I used a small paper envelope to hold my photos, and stapled it onto a A4 paper(not the photos). Then I put this A4 paper into my package.

I used a content divider to organize my documents.

When renewing my PR Card I organized it this way:

I intend on organizing my citizenship application in a similar fashion (with the addition of some clips to separate some sections).
