Does anyone know which examinations are included in the medical? I have a temporary resident medical still valid, and it included chest x-ray, blood test (for hiv and some other disease I can't remember) and urine and vision test.

Has anyone used a previous exam to apply for pr once ITA was received?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi Seniors,

I am applying in CEC category. I have total 10 years of experience out of which I have worked in Canada for 13 months in 2014-15 and rest of the time in one of Indian MNC. I have got a reference letter for Canadian work having salary, benefits, working hours and list of duties.

My question is: Will I need similar letter for Indian experience as well? I don't think my employer will provide it. Or I will need just a traditional letter having employment duration and designtation will work? I can easily get traditional letter. I have all payslips, offer letter, promotion letters etc.

Please help.

Thanks.

Hi Sarb,

Thanks for this information. I am bit confused with POF

"If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile."

What does CIC mean by Financial institution and my profile? Does it mean getting a letter by my bank where I hold my funds?
call cic.

temporary resident medical is not valid as it not assessed for the impact of healthcare costs on the system as a PR. It is bound to be rejected should you use that one. There are many threads on this topic that you can search and refer. Best thing is to get a fresh medical done for Permanent residency.

You would need experience letters for all the experience that you are claiming points for. Should the employer not provide you one, you can get your supervisor or colleague to give you a notarized one stating the job duties and other aspects requested by CIC. attach all employment documents along with it for reference.

Urgent Need help!!!!

1) My application summary is;
2) After receiving ITA from CIC, applied for PR in October.
3) Got married in Oct and notified CIC about status change
4) Received msg from CIC provide spouse documents and additional info
5) I provided all requested docs to CIC including IMM0008 Generic Application Form for Canada.
6) Requested by CIC twice to submit complete and correct Generic Application Form.

I am not sure what is wrong here, since no reason mentioned about error. Below I will update how I submitted IMM0008

Fill form electronically and press validate button, did not sign and transmitted through my CIC account.

I am confused about following:
1) What if I print and sign IMM0008 form and send them electronically? Is it OK
2) What type of application should i select in drop down menu; I applied initially through Economic - FSW category
3) or Do i have to select category Family - Spouse
4) Do I have to submit separate IMM0008 form for my wife or only one application is sufficient
5) Should I select to accompany my wife or not? If i select accompany then my points per CSR is 435 which is lower than points at the time of ITA receipt. If i select non accompanying Can I sponsor her later stage.?

Help please

The reference letter is an official document printed on company letterhead and must include your name, the company’s contact information (address, telephone number and e-mail address), the signature of your immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company and a business card of the person signing the letter. The letter should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties/responsibilities, job status (if current job), the dates you worked for the company, the number of work hours per week and your annual salary plus benefits.
You must scan all documents for this work experience and save them as one file. (Each work experience requires a separate file.)

Document: Police Certificates (Multiple)
You must provide a police certificate for every country, region or territory, other than Canada, in which you lived for 6 months or more. A police certificate
Opens a new window is a copy of your criminal record, or a declaration of the absence of any criminal record.
Police certificates are different in each country and territory and may be called police clearance certificates, good conduct certificates, judicial record extracts, etc. They are issued by police authorities or government departments and used by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to determine a person’s admissibility to enter Canada.
Certain countries will not issue a police certificate, or provide the certificate directly to you. If this applies to you please provide a letter of explanation in lieu of a police certificate.
You will be advised if you are required to obtain a police certificate for Canada

Document: Marriage License/Certificate
If you were married in Canada:
You must have a marriage certificate issued by the province or territory where the marriage took place.
If you were married outside Canada:
The marriage must be valid under the law of the country where it took place and under Canadian law.
A marriage performed in an embassy or consulate must comply with the law of the host country where it took place, not the country of nationality of the embassy or consulate.

Document: Proof of Means of Financial Support
If you are visiting Canada, you must prove that you can support yourself and the family members accompanying you while you are in Canada by providing as many of the following documents:
•your bank statements for the past four months
•a bank draft in convertible currency
•pay stubs
•an employment letter
•proof of assets or business
•proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees
•tax reports, declarations or statements
•proof of a student/education loan from a financial institution
•a letter from the person or institution providing you with money
•proof of funding paid from within Canada, if you have a scholarship or are in a Canadian-funded educational program
•proof of a Canadian bank account in your name if money has been transferred to Canada
If you are applying for permanent residence in Canada, you must provide an official letter issued by your financial institution indicating your financial profile.
Your financial profile includes a listing of all your bank (chequing and savings) and investment accounts. The official letter must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include your name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and e-mail address), the account numbers, dates of when each account was opened and the balance of each account over the previous 6 months.
You must scan all proof of funds documents and save them as one file.

•a Master’s degree
•an academic degree awarded by a graduate school of a college or university (You must have completed a Bachelor’s degree before a Master’s degree can be earned.)
•A Ph.D. (A Ph.D. is the highest university degree usually based on at least three years of graduate studies and a thesis. Normally, you must have completed a Master’s degree before a PhD can be earned.)

Dear all: I am a little worried about how to go about the proof of fund. I plan on selling my car and my father is going to gift me a little property that I shall be selling off to fulfill the requirement. This means, the amount of money generated from these will suddenly pop up in my bank account rather than shown for atleast six months. Would that be a problem? Pleas advise! Thank You.
