Hi All,

I had some questions about the list of experience documents needed while applying for express entry. I have

1. Offer letter
2. relieving letter
3. Pay slips

I worked for a start up company for two years and this is what I've been receiving from the very beginning.
Is there something else I might need or that I am missing?

Please help me

Thanks
Manpreet

They ask for a reference letter which mentions all the details of your employment, date of joining,ur designation,ur job duties, no of hours worked, salary earned etc. on the company letter head

If they give you a reference letter as per cic requirements there's no need for all you mentioned

below is requirement from CIC. Please try to stick to this. In case you cannot get a expereicne letter, you have option to get a reference from a colleague/manager on a legaaly sworn documnent(affidavit).

The following documents are mandatory for each work experience declared:

  • a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
    • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
    • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; and

Thank you all. Just one more follow up question please.

Would I be needing my tax documents or bank statements as well to explain my work experience?

Bank statements are for proof of funds (as supplementary documents) not for work experience. Some people provide tax documents as supplementary work experience documents, but generally only if it's for Canadian work experience.

Common supplementary documents for work experience are
  • pay slips/ salary statements
  • original hire letter/ contract of employment
  • relieving letter/acknowledgement of resignation letter (if you no longer work with the Company)
  • annual performance appraisals
  • any promotion and salary increase letters
  • job description documents (have to be endorsed - i.e. signed or stamped)
But you ONLY need to provide these if the reference letter your Company gives you is missing some of the information IRCC asks for.

As other members on this thread have already stated, if the reference letter has all of the information that IRCC is asking for, there's no reason to attach supplementary documents. It just gives IRCC more information to sort through and process. Don't overthink the application.
