As the sponsor files the spousal sponsorship application to CIC, therefore all originals are returned to Sponsor after SA, this is as per my experience, it was done in a month

HI,

I am curious to know how the CIC returns documents (with originals)?
My husband is in Pakistan, I am sponsoring him from Canada.
Will CIC return all originals to him via post or is there an alternate method? We are concerned at the state of posting mail in Pakistan and the important nature of these documents as some are originals.

For my wife's case they returned all the Originals back to me (Sponsor) at my home address in Canada one year after I submitted my application.... I received them back from CPP-Ottawa which is where all Pakistan files were being held due to backlogs in Islamabad.....

More recently If u go on the Islamabad thread there are a number of ppl who haven't gotten their original documents back and are having trouble getting a response from LVO or CHC-ISB.... this may be cuz a lot of files were transferred from Pakistan to London in early 2014 so the Originals may have been lost in the shuffle....

since ur file was transferred directly to London hopefully u won't see the same issues.... all the best!
