Hi,
I am a new member to the forum. I applied under 3111 on 6.1.11. I am an a visiting consultant ( Anaesthetist ) working in India.
I want to know if there is anyone else who is a visiting consultant and have applied. Since I am not into a job, I got reference letters from hospitals I visit and mailed copies of my income tax deductions by those hospitals. However, the reference letter had no mention of the time I spend at work per week. Since I am paid according to the services ( Anaesthesia, ICU visit, pain clinic patients etc ) I render, hospital has no record of the time I spend in doing all this work. I normally work 60 hours a week but it is not on paper.
First of all, will it affect my application ? If yes, how to remedy it.
Thanking in anticipation

Hi everyone! I am new here. I share the same goal as all of you here in this forum- to be a permanent resident in Canada via FSW pathway. I am a Gen Surg currently employed in the Caribbean. I am close to halfway thru my contract. I have taken the IELTS and got a very good score. It will expire in June, 2012. My dilemma is when would be the right time for me to submit my application? Would it be better to submit it now, or closer to the end of my contract. My employment contract ends in Nov, 2011. I still have a lot of questions in my mind, however, I am determined to migrate to Canada for the sake of my children. Thanks!

I am a doctor and i did my MBBS. I then came to US and completed family medicine residency which is of 3 years. I also passed American Board of Family Medicine too. How many points would i get in education?

Thanks.
Dear Doctor,
Just curious to know if you could share why do you think migration to canada is a better option for American board certified family physician, if you don't mind. I am asking this because sometimes I still think of going for American residency program but when I saw your message in the forum ,I had an idea of asking about it? Hope you dont mind to share.

Dear Dr. Aref,
If you get your 67 marks then you can by Allah's (god's) grace apply as a skilled worker
you should take the test on this page in order to be sure..
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp

I did try to calculate it for you but there are certain information which you need to supply yourself (as your years of experience, whether you have any relatives in canada..etc)

Anyway, you should be applying to Centralized intake office in Canada, which will later on transfer your paper to London Visa Office

Furthermore, You need to follow the following steps in order to apply:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-how.asp

there are 2 checklists containing the papers you are required to supply to CIO, & that is CIO's checklist & London visa office checklist,
You need to download these from the following links:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp (CIO application package containing several forms & required documents)

& London VO checklist from:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37023.pdf

Then, I had done before this schedule for myself, my husband & 2 young kids while applying (I copied and pasted it for you hoping it would help you, but please don't rely 100 percent on it because I fear I might have missed something while writing it, so only use it as a simplified guide)

2 self address mailing labels one in English and 1 in your native language.
Instead of an envelop, print those mailing labels in A4 size pages
