hi, I think Saskatchewan is a viable option, but that is if your planning on landing there, between me and my wife, she has more opprtunity (medical technologist) that is why we are thinking of going to ontario first and once she is able to get her license and start earning for us, then that is the time for me to try my side. Its really hard for us IMG from third world to enter in their system but we still have to try..
Our choices are ontario and newfoundland coz those are the two places where we have firends to help us. Another option for us is newfoundland and heres the link..

My understanding is you have to pass the mccee and get a good score in TOEFLiBt and if you meet this minimum requirement then you can enter into internship 8-12 months depending on what they will prescribe.. Now, I am not that sure if while doing the program if you will have allowance and second if you can take the mccqe1 while on the program, then after finishing the program if you will be able to take mcqe2 then eventually granted a license.
Yes, I guess that -now- it's all about where you are landing..
Since I come from a very warm country & haven't experienced v. cold countries except briefly, the weather really gets me worried.
That's why I am trying to stick to the south as much as possible. Still, the wise choice would be to cease any available opportunity, atleast till we are integrated into the system (because otherwise it is really v.hard to get into it), & for such an opportunity, a person should tolerate difficulties (for there is no reward without the hard work).
Nevertheless, my query is about whether these seemingly available options are as easy as they sound, & that's why I was hoping someone (a doctor ofcourse) from inside Canada or atleast a very informed person can tell us whether there is a catch in these openings. Are they as easy as they sound?
In Saskatchewan, they mention that you will have to stay for another period after they have trained you, for how long? & how many years is a person given in the opportunity to be trained & whether it is going to be in a big city like Saskatoon or in rural parts or as you mentioned, whether they are going to pay well for it or not?.. & is MCCEE enough to start on this program or not? are we going to be allowed to take the MCCQ1 while in it?
Now, who should I address my questions too as well?
Though many people have tried to explain the integration into health systems in Canada for immigrants. I still find it very vague
.If I were -finally- to go there & have a better understanding of it, I will try to state it better for future immigrant physicians..
but right now, though I truly appreciate our discussions which is very informative to me, I still wish someone would give us a more thorough explanation for it.
