I am also a doctor and waiting for my medical request. I also have medical transcription experience, is it work there? Please remain in contact so we will know other things from you.

Dear Dr.Deva ,Dr. pro and kingkhan
Its alarming situation for us .I am waiting for medical request ,Meanwhile I have done Master in public administration (MPA) which is recognized and acceptable in commonwealth countries.Whethe it would be helpful if I sacrifice my beloved profession for respectable survival in Canada .What other alternative would be available ?

Hello colleagues,
It's really a tough world out there in Canada...how about getting into health related jobs or other survival jobs while working out our license to practice medicine? One good thing is that we can always be back in our home countries and be a doctor once again. In my case I will just file a leave of absence from the hospitals where I practice and try it out in Canada for a few months.

Dear All,

I was shocked when i went through the mail of Dr. Deva. It was NOT for the current situation of doctors, it was for the exploitation by Rogers. I had a very good impression about Canadian systems and never heard of anything like this before. Life is very tough for the Doctors in Canada, and it supposed to be that. The number of required doctor is proportionate to the population. Canada has a population of only 30 million. Per year the number residency opening is very low. But i can give some idea which is only mine and can encourage all of us. USMLE can be a very good choice. USMLE is easier than the MCCEE. The number of resident doctors required by US are almost 50 times more than Canada offers. To accomplish the newly introduced health bill, US needs a lot of IMG. So if you have a Canadian passport, you don't need to have any visa to enter to USA. So guys don't be upset. Our doors are always open to return back to our country. We can start our second innings anytime. But immigration rules are getting horrible day by day. May be this is our final to chance to get PR to secure our next generation. May almighty Allah bless us all.

Rgds,
Efat

Can people let us think about some way forward and alternative instead of lamenting on the canadian issues for doctors. Since we all dont want to quit our ambition to get out to a better environment and there is difficulty for doctors in canada, can we see our we can get to do residency i the US aafter landing in canada.

Someone has suggested this. Can we exploit this alternative. Canada is not far from the US, we shuttle between the two. Is it easy for a canadian PR to enter US for holiday, exams etc. If its easy then we have no problem again. we can easily go in and out of US write USMLE and get residency slot. After the program we can easily go back to canada for those who still want canada. But I dont know how easy for PR to enter US.

another issue is that , can one US licence or residency tranning to work in the US.

I have a question:

My wife has a Doctor of Medicine degree. Upon researching, i came across with this information.

Note: Medical doctor degrees are generally first-level university credentials, in the same way that a
Bachelor of Law or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology is a first level, albeit “professional”
degree and should be awarded 20 points. If it is a second-level degree and if, for example, it
belongs to a Faculty of Graduate Studies, 25 points may be awarded. If a bachelor's credential is
a prerequisite to the credential, but the credential itself is still considered a first-level degree, then
22 points would be appropriate. It is important to refer to how the local authority responsible for
educational institutions recognizes the credential: i.e., as a first-level or second-level or higher
university credential.

With this information, for IMM0008 form for principal application, #12 Education, which should i tick? Bachelor's degree or Ph D?

Please advice..

Dear Doctors
AOA
''Skilled Worker applications received before February 27, 2008: 42 - 48 months

This was a quote from CHC London website .My querry is that What does this mean? 'submitting your application'' is this a date our documents reached chc London or the date we submitted in Isb?

Thank you for the reply sunasir.

My wife has a bachelor degree in BS Biology. In my country, a bachelor degree is needed before one can take a Medical Doctor degree. Will my wife get 22 points for this?

So to confirm, on the IMM 0008 Form, under Education, we must tick the Bachelor selection, not Ph D. Please advice.
