Do you put N/A on the questions that don't apply?

Go by the rule of writing N/A instead of leaving a box blank unless otherwise specified in the instructions of a form. Even if you tick the NO above, that big space cannot be left blank. So if it is not shaded in grey, then you need to mark it N/A

Always write NONE or N/A where needed, and never leave a space blank (unless grey'd out). It is not assumed N/A, as they can consider that a skipped question that you simply never answered yet. They need to KNOW it is an N/A without any assumptions on their part.

I spoke to CIC, you guys were right. They want a N/A even if you choose the option No.

It is clearly written on few forms and on guide given in CIC site to write N/A and do not leave a single blank space. One of my family member got her file rejected just because that he did not write one N/A on an answer n that was left blank by assuming that blank means N/A.

What if some of the questions on the application form do not apply to me?

You should fill in all spaces on the application form. If the question does not apply, write “not applicable” or “N/A” in the space. That shows you have read and filled out the form fully.

If you are applying online and the form does not allow you to input “N/A,” leave the space blank.

If there's a spouse listed in section A, should we really put "N/A" in the signature and date fields of that section??

While we put N/A everywhere else, we did not put N/A in any signature boxes (including date fields adjacent to same).

Ouch, sent in my application form last week and neglected to writ N/A in area that didn't apply to me. Any idea if I can send in corrections, or must i wait til they notify me that my application is incomplete?
