I'm eligible for some death related benefits from Veterans Affairs Canada, as my father passed away before the age of 65 due to an illness related to his service.
I'm eligible for the Death Benefit and Income Replacement Benefit for children, and the
Education assistance for the deceased's children benefit.
Do any of these count as social assistance to the IRCC?
It's my understanding that they don't, as I only have access to these benefits due to my father's service in the military and death resulting from his service. I'm not entirely sure though, mostly about the educational assistance as it also provides a monthly allowance.
