yes they are one of the fastest visa offices. Do you know if they have to have the medical first before they start security checks? Sorry for all the questions.

These are the steps

1.Paper decision/ making sure all information is there / Send AOR what not!!

2.Selection/ determining is relationship is bonified/ either request interview/ or original documents and more supporting documents

3. Background/and security decision ( this process can takes months)

4.Medical review/ and if at this point if meds are expired request medical redos.

5.Final decision / either request PP/ or deny the applicant ..

Hope that gives some clearity about the process...Every visa office processes different But with my visa office this is indeed how it went ...

well first of all want to thank you for this post and i found that normall and with sense.

well i m in the 10th month of backgrund check ( bffalo visa office ) and nothing yet !
i dont have a choice i do have to wait :)

Well boyee

like you stated ealrier your process will be slightly different in term of meds and what not because generally with filling you papers you are required to submitt a UP FRONT medical examination from a DMP and also a UP FRONT police check ..But since your file was interupted at Selection ...and called to interview and was denied ....Now it went to ADR where you won now they had to request a medical examination at there descretion ... so it can ultimatly throw off what p9ost i made about the STEPS in this processing for PR ...

So here is my guess and i am sure its pretty accurate ...You are at selection..So like requesting original BC, and Marriage certificates and wat not ...I assume with your ADR they determined that you are genuine couple CORRECT?? So the issue that remains is medical/security ...So being they have already asked for the meds background check i bet without a doubt are being processed ..

Once they get back the background and security clearances then they will review the meds and call for PP pending meds are satisfactory..make sense ...

I would neevr say ultimatly that every visa office processes the same BUT here is a answer hopefully that will be enought to answer your question ...all the steps i provided are honestly a guide to the IO and these are steps they have to take b4 PR is granted ...I mean anything can happen within a process to throw it off a little ...It could be medical problems (where the applcant has to get furthering) or meds expiring ....But generally medical is the last thing they check ...either for vailidilty of for results...Background i do believe in most straightforward cases is what takes most time ...Hope that helps...Meds can be reviewed in the pos system that same day ...once IO is ready to view them ..From what i know and have been comunicated by my MP is meds are the very last thing looked at b4 visa is issued

Yes thats what I was wondering. yes they determined that we were genuine. We had to do the back ground declaration and application had to be updated and the PCC that was sent in the first part of august. I emailed them and they said that got it on the 10th of august. Then got the medical request and thats now done.

At my particular visa office they have an on going backlogg...And unfortualty with that (like i said depending on the visa office) bring foward date gerally with that office were 60 days between the steps.. and with background being so long they became quite tight lipped within that time ...Others are fortunate and some other are not by at this point i am living proof thr process does end 15 months later for us and my husband has been home for almost 6 months ..thanks the lord

I honestly was struggling for answer at the beginning of this ..But know i am weel informed about the process and if other need help i am no problem helping with concerns of other whom are in the same boat i was at one time ....

amine01

Noo problemo !! ;D Hope it's over soon ....Keep your faith it will end ...

I dont know if Delhi has a backlog or not but they seem to move quite quickly through the applications. From start to finish 6 months. I am just hoping that they have started the security checks when they received the our pcc and updated application. I would be nice for him to be here by canadian thanksgiving. Hoping for too much?
