don't worry too much ... I got really angry at your post for sharing what the A$$ of an IO had to say to your case. I don't believe in violence but someone like her would get it good from me if I ever see her walking in public. I would for sure show her what a real relationship is.

These people at CIC really do know to find way to test us. I would file another complaint against her and let them get rid of her.

I had sent another letter to the commissioner again saying we were concerned since she was doing our visa, and worried that she would casue unusual delays in revenge for our lodging a complaint against her. I didnt get a response. I doubt if I complain again and have her removed. I dont see that happening.

I honestly doubt if they took our complaint really serious anyways. THey told me the looked over her interview notes and there was nothing there and they spoke to her personally and she denied all the claims against her. I was so mad. I said well thats great, but what fool would incriminate themselves by putting such comments in the interview notes? She knew what she was doing, I had heard others she had interview she threw their passport on the floor. The poor guy got upset and thinking his english was not good enough and the IO asked if he needed an interpreture. The guy thought he would do better if he had once so agreed and the officer used it against him, said their marriage was not real cause he couldnt communicate in his wifes language. They were refused on the spot.

I can understand them pushing a bit to make sure that the relationship is genuine. But I have not heard of anyone being asked about their sex life. I am divorced and I sent in the divorce certificate. That should have been enough, but nope, this IO, not only wanted the divorce judgement, she wanted the divorce petition. I contacted an immigration lawyer and he told me that was unusual, but send in what they ask for. I had a suspicion that she thought I got property and cash settlement and therefore my husband wanted for my property. We didnt own any property. Anyways I will just be glad when this nightmare is over. I just hope no one has to go through what we did. I wouldnt wish it on my worse enemy.

Well, I guess I have some answers now. In early July, I emailed the Canadian embassy in Sweden (where my hubby is scheduled to be interviewed) about his medicals expiry and issuing a visa quickly. An IO replied the following:

"If your husband's application is approved, the visa will be issued in London, not Stockholm. A new medical examination will likely be needed, and it may be a good idea to book it now for after the interview"

:( I guess we'll need a new medical.

The visa officer who interviewed my husband in Ghana also asked him questions about sex. She wanted to know all about the first time - where, when, how, who made the first move, etc.

What I find ironic in your case is that the visa officer first says you're not good-looking enough for your husband, and then tells him he only wants you because of your white skin. Well, if your husband thinks you're hot because you're white, then he thinks you're good-looking. What she would prefer is hardly relevant.

Yes thats exactly what I thought too. she was extremely ignorant.

what does sex have to do with anything? I mean if she said do you have a physical relationship with your spouse, then fine. But how often and where when what is not anyones business and there are nicer ways to ask. I think these officers get off on playing god with peoples lives. This one made our lives a living hell. What you went through was the worse night mare I can imagine. Made me almost sick to be honest. I hope you get a posititve outcome.. hugs

Thanks.
You won your appeal, so surely they can't drag out your husband's application much longer.

yah they can.. I am thinking that visa officer will do her best to delay things if she can since I complained about her. I was assured that wouldnt be the case but I am not convinced. Once bitten twice shy.

boyeeee i might have an answer for you soon about extending expired/soon to be expired medicals.

Only 4 days left!!!

I was so worried we might be under prepared for the interview but I'm starting to feel a lot more confident now. After all, it's just our story...go there and tell it :)

My husband has been so gooooood lately with getting together all this papers to take with him --- ahh men can be last minute sometimes :p

Oh thats great! I am sure they will extend yours since yours are about to expire. Ours have expired the 7th of January, but we have not received the request for a redo. When he got the documents back on June 25th it said if a medical was needed a letter would be sent shortly to have them redone. Here is it August 6th nothing yet. We have to have our PCC and application in by next week so I am wondering if they are waiting for that and then will send out the medical request?

SaugaBoss,

can you share your cousins' experience with the expired medical?

For us, my husband's medical will be VALID at the time of the interview. It will expire 5 weeks AFTER the interview. So I'm curious if he is approved at the interview and everything is in order, can't they take that into consideration...?

I have read threads where some have only had 2 weeks to land, so I guess every case is different. I doubt they will give us any break. lol

Her medical did not expire until after she landed. She did not have an interview either it was waived.

Basically she was in the US and her mom had heart surgery and they did not care :-X because the medical was going to expire soon and if she did not go and finish her process before the medicals expired she would have to get another one done...So she finalized everything in a rush before her medical expired

I guess it depends because on the forum some people are flexible but in my cousins case they did not care! you had to go before the medicals expired.

by the way I wonder how strict they are about the FBI police certificate i mailed my state one which was veryy old...the FBI one was mailed in January and We sent our application in MAy...

I know the FBI are valid 3 months before you mail them in. So ours was technically 1 month late since we mailed in our application in May. I am getting a new one but it wont arrive until late-September/early October.

anyone get away with sending in an expired FBI police certificate?????????? and not have to do a new one?
