Strange things happen my dear friends. I had courier my application via TNT courier to CIO on Dec 2nd. TNT still has "shipment lost" as status in online tracking system. The local agent for TNT told me that TNT in fact gave it to Purolater because Sydney was out of their service area and Purolater driver supposedly lost it! I mean how irresponsible could they get. After an agonizing month of run around but fortunate help/advice from fellow forum member katyspring, I finally got in touch with CIO today. I found out after talking to one the agent that they did in fact received my docs on December 21st. But the courier still does not have a clue.

So my request to fellow members: Pls do not use TNT, use DHL, FedEX or other couriers.

Now that I know that my application is there, I am waiting for my AOR in March. Thank you very much Katyspring.

Best courier services which I trust: 1st Fedex, 2nd UPS, 3rd DHL (DHL 3rd because I feel its costly for me).

I firmly second Yakba,

TNT is irresponsible and awful. Besides they do not have coverage for Sydney,NS which they do not tell you until your package is lost. Then they would say the responsibility lies with the other courier, which for my case was Purolator.

During the whole tough time I was under considerable pressure as for my lost package,TNT easily shrugged and didn't even offer me a simple apology. Although my package is now found inside the CIO, but TNT people are too stupid to have found it out. They are still reporting it as lost on their tracking system. Such losers! >:(

Dear friends, avoid giving your valuable documents to TNT. Go for a better courier. A couple of more dollars is definitely worth the service DHL gives. And now I know now that DHL has coverage for Sydney/NS.

TNT has lost many docs in the past, should be avoided at all cost...

I completely agree to what has been said by my fellow members here about TNT.
Infact I was expecting my medical request letter to come from my Lawyer's office in Montreal, and TNT delayed delivering my parcel for about a month >:( and to tell you what we had done our medicals right on the last day .... further we had to request for an extension from th visa office (to send all the reports and other documents) which is thankfully granted now.
So trust me now for sending our passport I personally din't count on TNT and rather send it through DHL.

I wish If I have read it before sending this courier.

I strictly asked that stupid DTDC broker to send it via DHL but don't know why he chooses TNT.

While tracking on TNT, its showing me Shipment Not Received. Recovery Actions Underway.

15 Dec 2014 08:00:00 Toronto Shipment Not Received. Recovery Actions Underway.
11 Dec 2014 19:00:00 Toronto Delay Due To Bad Weather. Recovery Action Underway
10 Dec 2014 20:48:31 Mahipalpur Service Centre Shipment Collected From Customer

I am sure by 24th Dec, all CIC people will go on long holidays.

I am worried now.

Suggest something helpful.

TNT was probably less expensive, so your broker used it. I used TNT for delivery of documents between Vancouver and China in the past few years, but thankfully did not have any negative experience.

Last date of submitted application is 31st Dec, 2014. But I doubt whether they will accept any application even after 24th Dec, 2014.

What does it actually mean - "Shipment not received. Recovery Actions underway" ?

Do not worry. Be calm, I also sent by tnt. But in canada they are experiencing some severe weather conditions. U will b glad to know that CIO will remain closed on 25th & 26th dec only. Other days they will work.
So just pray to the almighty.

I have also very bad experience with TNT. Fedex and DHL are the best as per my personal experience.

I have called the TNT customer care, they said they are trying to find the missing bags which contains number of couriers(including mine).

Considering this bad weather, CIO should extend the last date from 31st Dec, 2014 to further.

@shahimran1

Hey thanks for your update.

I am more worried now.

Mine is at location Toronto and TNT person has told me that they have huge backlog or load pending. I don't know how much they will take to deliver it to Sydney, NS.
