Do I need to submit original docs

Hi All,

I sent my initial application to Sydney and got a response from them. They are asking to send my documents. In Visa Office Specifics, it was mentioned to submit the Originals . I am a bit confused here. Do I really need to send original documents?

I have a few other things to ask:

1. Do I need to submit Police Clearance Certificate now?
2. I have my ID card in Urdu. Do I need to translate it in English?
3. Do I need to provide the proof of funds now?
4. What else documents do I need to submit now?

I got another question.

My Nikha and wedding ceremony held of different dates (with a gape of 6 monhts). On the form I mentioned my wedding ceremony date. Should I correct it in my current application and affix explanation?

Additionally, I am applying for my family too. Do I need a Police Clearance Certificate for my spouse too?

Hello msaim,

U should submit police certificate in original with full documents.
yes , translate yur ID card in english from Kachari from some lawyer .
Yes u shuld also provide proof of funds , with you full documents
all your degrees, diplomas any other training certificates, birth , marriage cerificates.....etc

it will be better if u read - skilled worker guide and visa office specific instructions" thing will become very easy for you .

Hi,
You DO NOT need to submit any Original document when initially sending your application to CIO (Sydney).
However, after receiving CIO response and you initial file number, you must then send the full documents to the visa office you have been requested to. At that time you need to send all the notarized copies documents (if not in English/French you need to translate as well).
Only the following documents need to be send as ORIGINAL when sending full docs to visa office:
1. Language test results (IELTS/TEF)
2. Police certificate

It does make perfect sense to send the notarized copies of all documents except the two you mentioned. But how about (Excerpt from http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37023.pdf: Section 6)

Transcripts: original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in university-sealed envelopes.

After sending the certified and translated copies of my documents the CIC asked to send them only my police certificates also in original.

By "certified copies" do mean notarized (by a notary public) or attested from the concerned university?

Regarding the transcripts, I have the same situation. As far as I have found out, you can either send the notarized copy of your transcripts or the originals in university sealed envelops.

No, my documents were not notarized accept my birth certificate.
I went to an authorized translator who translated all other staff in english and sealed them for me.
There were also some ducuments in English by me, like from my school or old universities, which I took with their copies to another university where I live now. There was an administrative department where you could certify with their seal and signature that all your copies have been taken from originals and I didn't need to pay anything.
So you can do an authorized translation AND notarize them if you want. But you don't need to send any originals accept your police certificates.
By the way - when you do your IELTS you can ask them to send another, second certificate to your imigration office for you if you are happy with your score.

How about the IELTS TRF?
CIC has mentioned that it must be original and photocopies are not accepted.
On the other hand in the CIO AOR it is mentioned that all documents must be sent in a SINGLE package.
So can we still ask for IELTS report to be sent separately? otherwise there is no way but to send the Original TRF with the rest of the docs.

What have you done for your case manul?

As I said before, in my case I was asked during the IELTS exam if any other organisation does need also a certificate about my language test. I said, yes, please send it to my canadian imigiration office and they did it separetly. But in my package I have put an authorized copy of my IELTS test as well. And that was OK.
I have heard from some people in this forum, that may be later if you will need to go an intervew you will have to take your original documents with you and the imigration officer may ask you to see the original IELTS certificate.
