Do I need to provide fingerprint with my application

Hi all:

Someone tells me to minimize the chance of RQ or other stuff, it is better to submit fingerprint along with the application.

Is it necessary? My name is very unique, and I have never seen a guy who has the same with me....

Some suggestions? Thanks for this.

I would say you should...not harm in it. But doesn't mean you won't get a RQ again when your file is in process. Fingerprints are only good for 1 year. If I would be you, I would def. send that along as well. It is not necessary though but will save your file from delays.

I will send my application on June 23rd, they told me that it will take 7 business days to get the record, so maybe it is too late for me ???

I do not know too much about fingerprint. My understanding is that you can provide the fingerprint in 5 mins, but they will send your fingerprint to Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Royal Canadian Mounted Police will send you the report in 7-10 days, ad you need to submit the report from Royal Canadian Mounted Police to cic.

Therefore, I will not have enough time for sure, is that the case???

What's the finger print document that you mention? I was reading the other thread about it being requested a lot more and I am debating whether to do the same and send it in with the application.

Do not send fingerprints without being requested. The RCMP won't directly send your fingerprints straight to your local office unless you present your request letter. Even if you send it, they will likely request a new one, since there is a chance you could have "falsified" your fingerprints..

Right, I will submit my application first, and we'll see if they ask me for the fringerprint
