Hi,

I'm trying to get a WES ECA for my Master's degree from a Costa Rican university.

The required documents list (http://www.wes.org/ca/eca/requireddocuments/index.asp) doesn't seem to mention anything about notarizing/legalizing the documents, but the people at my university seem to think it's required.

It's worth noting that all of the documents are in Spanish, so I'll need to get official English translations for them.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Pura vida mae?

You just have to send original scans of your degree with the proper certified translations. Also your university MUST send the original transcripts (you have to get certified translations for these too).

Hola! :)

OK, but what exactly do you mean by "certified" translations? Is it necessary to go to the Ministry of Foreign Relations (Casa Amarilla) and then to the Canadian Embassy to certify the documents?

BTW, what stage of the process are you at with Express Entry? I haven't met any other ticos that are doing this, but it would be great to exchange tips and such.

Thanks

(yo también soy tico pero me imagino que no es bien visto escribir todo en español en el foro)
