Do I need to extend my stay?

Hi, I'm currently in Canada as visitor, last time I came was in june of this year, I applied to be resident of Canada in july and my question is pretty much if I need to extend my stay before the 6 month period finishes.

To maintain legal status in Canada beyond the 6 months, you will need to get a visitor visa extention

If you submitted an Open Work Permit application along with your inland PR app, then you are under implied status so don't need to extend your visitor status. You will have legal status right up to receiving OWP.

If you didn't apply for OWP, then you need to apply for visitor extension, or submit an OWP app, to keep your status here.
