Do I need to do the background declaration????

Do I the sponsor need to fill out the background declaration form as well? Or just the applicant???

I'm also confused by this.. I'm sponsoring my wife and the instructions say that her, the principal applicant, and I, the spouse, need to fill it out..

So does that mean we both fill out our own copies and attach them to the principal applicants set of documents?

no need guys. the spouse just need to fill out that if they are both going to apply for PR but if your spouse is already a PR then they should not fill out that form only the main applicant

When asking a question about a form it is much easier if we have the form number .. IMMM5669 IS FOR APPLICANT ONLY

Complete Schedule A Background/declaration IMM5669 for the sponsored person, and each family member 18 years of age or over.


This is in the Sponsored persons and family members section not the sponsor section.

There are lists of forms for the applicant & the sponsor. The form IMM5669 is listed in the forms that must be completed by the applicant. Here is the link to all the sponsors forms.

It is confusing because it does say that a spouse or common law partner needs to complete form IMM5669, but that would be only if they were not your sponsor. This link also has the sponsors check list and you can see it does not include form IMM5669.
