Hello everyone.
I have recently received my PR under spousal sponsorship. The officer at the interview told us that I need to stay in Canada for 2 or 3 years (can't remember exactly) out of 5 years so that I won't loose my PR residency. Now the problem is my husband might get a job offer outside Canada and the company is not a Canadian own. I know if we leave Canada I will loose my PR status (he is Canadian so no problem with his status). I was wondering if there are special conditions for people like me. For example, instead of loosing I could keep the PR status but the days I spent outside Canada won't be counted when I applied for citizenship? We will be coming back after couple of years say 5 years(max)anyway. I don't mind re applying, it just take sooo long to receive the result. It took me almost 2 years to receive my PR and it is difficult not to see my family back home for that long. Does any of you know anything in this regard? Is it even possible? Or I just have to bite the bullet and re apply?
Thanks in advance!
