hi to all :)

I'm here in Canada right now with a visitors visa but we have an ongoing outland Spousal Sponsorship application .When the time comes that they will request for my passport, will it be possible for me to just send my passport to them through courier and stay here in Canada?

thanks :)

Yes, but they won't return it to an address outside their processing area. So it will be sent to your address in their processing area and have to be forwarded to you in Canada.

you have to go back to your home country then submit your passport then you need to re enter in Canada, you can not re enter while living in Canada so you have to be out then enter again.

You can re-enter while already in Canada, by just driving to the closest USA land border. It's very easy to do.

Not everybody on this forum speaks Tagalog just so you know... In my opinion just show money won't help to get a visitor's visa. You need to prove that you have a stable financial background in the Philippines. Home ownership, a stable job to come home to, family ties are all things you may need. You have to be pretty well off in the Philippines in order to get one, or from a moderately privileged family.. that's the kind of proof they need to show you won't jump ship.

hi

I have 5th in my account that time but we specified in our letter that my husband will cover for my expenses when I get here.so I submitted his notice of assessment and the letter from his employer to prove that he got a job.

You need at least $5000 to be on the safe side, plus your spouse should have a good job.

well, i think u have to go back home, because maybe the embassy will notice on your passport that you have the entry stamp as a visit visa and you didnt have the exit stamp. And when u applied for the visitor's visa I'm sure it stated that how long will stay in canada then, maybe the officer will have doubt and it will affect your spousal apps..:)

Sadly, a Filipino citizen still needs a visa to be able to enter US.

If I were you, I would go back in the Philippines. I was also granted a tourist visa to Canada last year and I was able to visit my husband. I was tempted to go back there again this year while my PR application is on process but I decided not to. And guess what, I made the right decision. My passport is still at CEM now after I submitted it (PPR). It's been over four months now. The point is, you'll never know when it will be returned. Remember, you are only allowed to stay in Canada for 6 months. If you exceed, your PR application might get denied.

Canada is just there, you'd probably live there for the rest of your life. A few more months in the Philippines won't be that bad. ;)

You don't need to actually enter the US. You get to the US side, declare that you are flag-poling, they give you a piece of paper (an administrative refusal I believe it's called) and send you back to the Canadian side to do the landing formalities.

But this is an english forum is it not?Or is it in tagalog and 100% philipino?

So how are you planning to get by in Canada if "not everyone speaks english"? Planning to learn on the spot? Why not start right now by respecting rules and regulations of country you are planning to move to? Why not start from even respecting this community here that is sharing valuable information?

Dont want to come off like an ass, but I doubt you will like it if I start speaking Italian, because I bet it will be CLOSE TO ZERO help to your case unless you happened to know the language.
