Do I apply for the MSP Health card immediately after I land or 3 months after I land?

when do I apply for a health card in Vancouver. Do I wait for 3 months to pass after I landed? And why does it say in the online application that if you were planning to leave for more than 30 days in the next 6 months you can’t apply??
 
You can. apply anytime in the first 2 months and bring proof of your landing date. I would wait until you have secured a place to live because your address will be on it. All provinces have different rules. ON has the same rule that you can't be out of the country for 30 days in the first 6 months. They want to make sure you have actually settled in Canada and you aren't in the process of settling.
 
I landed 80 days ago. And I’m leaving on dec for 2 months vacation. Can I apply for the health card now? And how long will it take to be mailed to me?
 
You can apply now. You likely qualify Sept 1st. You get a temporary umber and then receive a card in the mail. Pretty rare for any Canadian to get 2 months vacations especially when they just arrived.
 
How long does it take to be mailed?. Because I’m changing my address in october 15. Should I put the old or the new address? And what should I do after the online application?
 
Usually you have to go into an office to sign up for your first health card and bring a bunch of documents and they take your picture. This should all be on the website. No idea what the processing time for the cards are.
