I applied for permanent residence and the Immigration Program Manager at the High Commission of Canada in Nairobi sent an email that the provided information was not enough to confirm my relationship with my sponsor ( auntie ). Then a recommendation to do a DNA test to prove our relationship was given. A few days later an email informing me about an interview which is scheduled in November 2014 was sent still in line to assess my relationship with my sponsor.

Right now the DNA samples have already been taken from both me and my sponsor ( auntie ). Isn't the DNA enough to prove my relationship with my auntie ( sponsor ) ?
And is there a possibility that the interview will be waived once the DNA results are out?

Thank you in advance for all the answers that will be given in line with my situation.

What kind of sponsorship is this? Not spousal, obviously. In any case, if they want an interview, they just want proof of your relationship with the sponsor. Biological is not enough. Just go to the interview with proof of contact, such as phone records, Skype records, emails, proof of visits, etc. The visa officer might not ask to see it, but if he or she does, it is best to have something with you.

Hello canadianwoman,
Thank you for the reply. The relationship I have with my sponsor is Auntie/Nephew relationship. My sponsor is my Auntie.

I just thought an interview would be irrelevant after the DNA test since the interview is intended to verify my relationship with my sponsor.
