If you have made up your mind on divorcing her, then why r you sponsoring her at the first place?
You wont be able to.sponsor someone as your spouse for the next 5 years after she lands in canada and per conditional pr, if you guys separate within 2 years of her living in canada, chances are both of you may face deportation and lose residency, nonetheless youll be financially responsible for her.

Honestly speaking its people like you who has made marriage a joke and thats why immigration doubts every real marriage and we face longer wait times who actually want to be with our spouses so badly.

If you want a divorce, do it right and withdraw your application. Do it before your spouse lands, otherwise jennifoysol has told you the aftereffects.

This makes me really angry when there are those of us who are going through sponsorship and can't even be with our wife/husband and have to live with that day after day struggling and then you're just making a mockery of the whole process. As another poster said, this makes us have to endure even longer processing times due to all the fraud marriages/sponsorship going on.

I can't believe u r asking this question so openly!!! U r basically telling me, "can I just sponsor my wife so she can immigrate here and once PR divorce her?" That is fraud!! And like other posters, it makes someone like me extremely angry because we all nor have to provide a mountain of information to prove the genuineness of our relationships...which can be very demanding and steessfull! And all that coz people like u abuse the system and make immigration officials suspicious of every marriage and cause us to be separated from our spouses for a long time! Ridiculous!!

Do the right thing and divorce before your spouse's PR is issued!

It is people like you that have caused this system to be abused to the point where our Canadian Government has enacted rule changes to the immigration procedures for PR applicants in hopes of protecting its own citizens from such fraud. These changes have caused massive slow downs in the application and acceptance procedures for legitimate law abiding citizens.

This just peeves me off that you have the gal to even attempt this. You better reconsider before following through with this application. I hope CIC/CBSA catches you and your current spouse if she gets accepted and Deports you both. Not worth having you and your spouse in our prisons as we Canadians are stuck paying the bill for your term.

Think before you continue!!!

For the sake of legitimate relationship applications...Cancel yours for your spouse or you may find both of you deported with out any options of ever returning to Canada.

Such cases have made CIC procedures too much tough and the lives of REAL cases have become hell as result. If it continues happening CIC might give more tough time to real couples

Trolling yes.

To the first reply, applicants with children don't get Condition 51. So if it's a real case then once landed, true to its name her and the children's residency would be "permanent".

There wouldn't be Condition 51 regardless, since it appears they are both applying for PR at the same time. He said he is working in Canada and has applied for PR, which means he's the principal applicant, and has included his wife, whom he plans to promptly divorce.
That could still be grounds for revoking his and her PR in the future, but it's not a spouse sponsorship case.

Well, suppose it's a true case and they go through with it. WHO is going to report it as fraud?? Neither one of them are going to. This to me is not the sort of fraud that makes others' applications difficult, and would also be very difficult to prove.

Good catch MilesAway, I didn't notice that but was clarifying a different post.
