i think the bigger issue will be the financial situation. Depending on size of the family and a 70 years old most possibly not working, she may not qualify to support the applicants.
It doesn't matter if a person is not working. As long as a person is drawing income, regardless of where it came from (Pension is income), that person can sponsor anyone provided LICO are met.

But in OP's case, it will likely fail, not because of financial LICO requirement, but failing to meet relative qualification for sponsorship. 3rd Cousins will not likely meet CIC's definition of family relative.

Still a 70 years old might have investment, royalties and pension income to be qualified to support the applicants.
I wasn't aware that investments counted as income, I assumed it was just pensions.. The OP has mentioned in previous posts a partner and child so thats LICO for 4, almost $45,000. A big pension, but possible I guess if she worked for the right people...

Processing times for sponsor approval for this type of sponsorship aren't even given, its a priority basis. One would think adoptions would have priority, then another 21 months for Manilla, if it makes it that far. This is a lengthy process that is unlikely to succeed. OP would be better to try and qualify for express entry.

I think OP wants to just put Aunt in the application...

They can I guess, but they need the proof to back it up. Which they don't have, I've read on here cases of CIC requesting DNA tests to prove familial ties if they provide insufficient proof...

I really hope the OP is still reading this thread and understands what they are doing IF they are in fact going to misrepresent the relationship to CIC and the potential consequence of being excluded from Canada.
