Hi Guys. My passport expires in Feb next year and it has a US tourist visa in it which is valid for another 10 years. I'm eligible to file for Canadian citizenship this year. Suppose I get my Canadian citizenship/Canada passport before Feb next year, what happens to the US visa? Is there a way to "transfer/copy" that visa over to my Canadian passport? Or does that go away because I'll have to surrender my passport as my home country doesn't allow dual citizenship.
Will it be possible to renew my current passport while my Canadian citizenship application is in process? Or will I need to send my passport to IRCC for them to process my Canadian citizenship application?
