@sidkros, i went in 5 weeks, so there is enough hope that yours goes that fast too

fingers crossed for you

Yeah, a proof of address is one of the things MICC asks for on this checklist: http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/fr/parrainage/liste-verification.pdf. Your wife can just put in a bill she doesn't need anymore when she sends everything in. They will send the CSQ to her address with a letter saying she was approved to sponsor you and she can forward the CSQ and your letter from MICC to you in Lebanon. You're applying outland right? You wrote Vegreville......

Hello Charlie

Thanks for the reply, i guess it is in Vegreville, anyway, what difference does it make between offices?isn't it the same for processing? they sau they received my application on May 13, 2011, i thought as all the files it will take 2 months to start processing my case but as i wrote before nothing has changed. Might it be the problem of my lawyer? this is what he sent me before please check it:

(Svp demander a Celina qu'on me fasse parvenir une facture ou une preuve de résidence car j'ai recu l'acceptation de Canada et il nous manque le certificat de selection du Quebec.)

Then he sent me this:

(j ai besoin d une preuve quelconque de residence au quebec. une fois envoyee, l¸a demande sera finalisee dans quelques mois)

My wife is sponsoring me from Canada, i am in Lebanon, and we have 2 children both Canadians, i thought this would make everything easier but it seems not.

loool good catch abt vegreville ddobro, i did not catch it...i'm out of focus...he said he's in lebanon, so i assumed it's outland which for sure it it...:/
anyway, abt the CSQ i don't know how buffalo works, some people on the quebec outland thread applied through buffalo but i don't remember specific details abt their cases...u sent them already email, maybe they did not even open ur file yet....leave them a while, and maybe in 2 months if still nothing ask them again :) good luck!!

u can ask also on the quebec outland and the buffalo thread too

Hello again and thanks for the help.

My wife sent to the lawyer her ( avis de cotisation ), i guess it would be accepted as proof of residence yes?

Thanks. Yeah, I think I've asked around on all the relevant threads. Normally, if E-cas was dependable, I would *know* they got it but didn't start working on it yet as I have the "we received your application on" note in there but not the "we started processing your application on" one. But alas, e-cas is anything but dependable. I'll be patient. I've also ordered CAIPS or whatever they're called now. :P

oui je crois que l'avis de cotisation de Revenu Québec est un excellent preuve d'addresse car c'est un document officiel/gouvernamental. ca, c'est pas typiquement le probleme. il faut verifier tous les autres documents demandes sur la liste de verification.

Kiev went down from 11 to 7 months while Moscow went up from 9 to 10 months even though Moscow visa office has more officers and less (yes less) cases to process than Kiev.

that's strange :/ i was hoping we'll find a pattern but it does not look like that...i guess we have to deal with the confusion until the end

I didn't even know a Kiev office existed. Odd that they would even put two offices that close together.

yeah that's odd even disturbing :( some embassies r responsable just for one country (like kiev, tokyo, etc) so for sure they could finish in 6 months :/ others r responsable for maybe 5 countries or more....how is that fair? :(

Exactly, it's not. And of the 9 offices in MENA, 4 are in Sub-Saharan, while the other 5 are in either N. Africa or Middle East.

Official Timelines for Accra - 22 months for 80% of complete applications.
About 9 weeks into our application, we have an interview date. :)

woow how can they decrease from 31 to 22 in 4 months...it looks that they changed their way and it works....other embassies should follow

congrats for ur interview and best of luck!!

They were 31 before?!? That's just not even ethical, frankly speaking.
