what do you mean by genuine? How they would know at a first look that the documents are not genuine and delay one's case. The delay is because of a heavy load on them or may be some other administrative reasons.
Secondly, if some one's documents are not genuine then there is no reason to delay a case. They may reject the case or take a legal action.
Anyways, yes, my documents are genuine.
Moreover, I am a PhD student having some good quality publications in my research area and all of my publications and related stuffs are available online and also at my web. I mentioned all these in my CV, SOP and other documents.
Finally, I have been selected as a research fellow at my prospective university in Canada and they verified all of my documents before offering me the position. I have attached all the admission and scholarship related offer letters (in genuine) with my application.
In any case, they should not take more than 9 weeks to finalize a study permit case.
We can only hope for the best. Lets see what happens.
