People for Bangladesh! Plz update about ur status.

I have applied for 2 persons on study permit.

Application 1 - Applied on 21st June on-line and receive passport request on 11th August.

Application 2 - Applied on 1st July on-line, no status change yet, not even medical passed.

Here is my timeline:
Applied online: May 14th
Biometrics request letter: May 15th
Biometrics submitted: May 16th
Request for PCC from Bangladesh and FBI (as I completed my undergrad in NYC): May 17th
Medical Passed: June 14th
Blank update on MyCIC account: July 1st
Provided FBI Clearance: August 17th
Passport Request: August 17th
Visa Status: Not updated yet

I have applied on 18 July from ctg VFS but today I checked on the application tracker that is showing my decision has been dispatched to me on 18 August and will receive a sms or email when it receives local vfs office. they did not even call or email me yet for any queries.
I am really worried, what actually comes with that? Any one has idea from Bangladesh.Plz help me on this regard.

No I haven't got any medical requests since I applied, just checked VFS file checker and showed that status previously mentioned.Was you one upfront medical.I had no idea about how to do that here in ctg?

Please clarify, did you submit your passport with your application? Did you do upfront medical test? Did you apply on paper or on-line?

Thanks for the timely response. No I haven't submitted my original passport and medical test when I applied on paper base application here in ctg vfs.

Hey,

I am sorry but it seems that its bad news. If you are issued a visa, they would have asked for your original passport at least. Also Medical tests are needed too!

Got a letter of introduction in my CIC account detailing what documents to bring with me and how the study permit will be issued at the port of entry.

Congrats to you again! So why do they ask for the passport if the permit is issued at the POE?

I am not too sure myself. This is uncharted territory for me too. I will let you know of any changes in the passport once I get it.


What I am guessing is that, the passport will be affixed with a TRV, temporary resident visa. That's what the letter states too.

In which program in which university/college did your applicants apply ?

@enywmara: Funny thing is I already have a TRV stamped on my passport, so I am not sure what to expect actually.
