@enywmara: I checked with VFS today and they said my passport is still in transit to the Singapore office which is why I still get the 'passport has been forwarded to Singapore' message. Upon asking them how long does it take for the passports to reach there they said around 4-5 days. How did your timeline look like? I submitted on August 17th and the message is the same from that day.

Passport has not been despatched from Singapore yet. So cannot ascertain the time-line on receipt.
I am thinking I should receive the passport by the 24th of 25th.
So with your time-line, you should be expecting it by 27th or 28th.
@Enywmara: I was chatting with the VFS customer service representative and asked about the status of my passport. He said it has reached SG office and is currently under process. My concern is that I checked the VFS tracking and it still says that my passport has been 'forwarded' to SG office and doesn't say it has been 'received' like yours or few other people. I know I am overthinking and panicking but after a wait of 14 weeks I can't get my head straight and is constantly worrying over simple things. Should I be worried?

Don't worry melody23,
The way they send your passport is through DHL. The VFS officers are not always correct. Keep checking the VFS tracking website.

I had some issues, and I e-mailed them. It took them 2 days to reply, and the reply was also very generic, but it is a proof that you had submitted your passport.
I know the fear that you are going through, and its very legitimate, however, what can you do? Its not in your/our hands. We are pretty much at the mercy of the visa/vfs people.
On a different note, my status on VFS tracking website has changed to
Visa application, tracking ID No xxxxxxx. Your Decision has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, Singapore on DD/MM/YYYY to the Canada Visa Application Centre DHAKA. You will get SMS & Email when your Decision will receive at Canada Visa application centre where it was submitted.
Should be receiving the passport in 3-4 days.
I was also thinking about your earlier post, where you mentioned that you already have a VALID TRV. I don't know if that would cause any issues, so please make sure to ask VFS or the canadian visa authorities about it.
Alhamdulillah! Saw the final decision on MyCIC today - The application has been approved! This makes so much happier because of the fact that today is also my birthday

Just to let you know, I collected my passport today. VFS status was also updated as collected. So the time-line now stands like this.

Passport Stamped Singapore- 19 August
Passport despatched from Singapore - 22 August
Passport received at VFS Dhaka - 24 August
Passport Collected from Dhaka - 24 August
Total 10 Days.

It took a long time because my FBI Clearance report took 10 weeks to arrive so please make sure you have your clearance from other countries ready (if you have ever lived in any country for more than six months). Good luck everyone!
