Hello Folks,

I'm on an ICT completing my 1 year in August 2020. My husband is on a dependent open work permit and working for a canadian incorporation. He will be completing 1 year of experience by September 2020. Can he claim points for canada work experience and also Job offer when we apply for PR?
Is he eligible to claim points for both?

Yes, he can claim points for having 1 year of Canadian work experience.

No, he cannot claim 50 points for having a job offer. In order to claim 50 points for having a job offer, his employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA.

Yes, for ICT LMIA exempt he can claim points for both. But only after 1 Year of work experience.

The husband has an open work permit, NOT an ICT permit. As scylla said, no job offer points without an LMIA.

Yes, you can once you've worked for your company in Canada for 1 full year and provided they give you a letter stating that your job offer with them will be valid for at least 1 year after you become a PR.

Really impossible to say. If FSW draws restart, this score will be too low to be selected.

Hello,

I applied for my wife's open work permit extension and today got update from CIC "Your application was cancelled". But the reason stated is not clear. They have mentioned about validity of your biometric information is till 2030/02/18.

Any idea about this ? I am trying to reach them on phone and will create a Web form.
