Hello everyone,

Is it normal for an inland sponsorship application to be sent to a VO overseas?

My timeline so far is as follows:

Inland online Child sponsorship..
Applied by 30 Sep 2021
Received an email by 12 Jan 2022 stating AOR back on 1 Oct 2021!
2nd Email today (20 Jan 2022) approving me as a sponsor. Application is sent to Paris VO

Hi, I live in the UK and my parents and sister have PR in Canada. After more than 10 year apart I am desperate to move to Canada to be with them. However, I am over 22 and have 2 children and a husband who would be moving with me. Is there anyway my family could sponsor me/us to move to Canada?

You don't qualify to be sponsored by your parents nor your sister.

You can look into qualifying on your own (you and your husband) under other economic streams.

We received a request for DNA testing for our dependent child. The letter states we did not provide sufficient evidence which consisted of his birth certificate and passport. Has anyone else ran into this. We have 7 days to respond and my husband will actually be in Kenya when his son and his sons mother have testing. We have requested that my husband attend the same appt but cannot get any response. It is $60 in Kenya and $500 in Canada.
Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks, the number on the sheet for inquiry is not the right department so we are at mercy of an email system that says it will take up to 28 days to respond. It is also not a request that is either on GCKey or Ecas

It takes about 3-6 months to start moving along.

There is no set amount of time. Looks like you still may not be meeting your RO which still could become an issue.
