There is no way to expedite the process, MP won’t be able to help you get your application processed faster. If your application is taking much longer than average then an MP can be helpful in trying to determine the issue. At the moment MPs are being told not to contact IRCC for general review only for cases related to Afghanistan, Ukraine or major outliers.
I agree , mp doesn’t do much usually and can not expedite the process. In our case the mp did help slightly as our child’s application was sent to 2 different vo’s before it landed in the correct one and sat there . Mp was able to bring the error to cic attention and get the application looked at .

Do you have lawyer or by yourself? I have lawyer. But I am trying to expedite the process, may be local MP could help me. I applied for my child a month ago.
Why does your application needed to be expedited? If it's a normal dependent child sponsorship application, it will be process just like all the other dependent child sponsorship application. Is the child in a war zone or a dangerous area?

Me and my wife are PR and my kids were born in India.
My question is should I apply for their Sponsorship first or their Visitor visa first ?
Also has anyone tried the online application for the Sponsorship ? Please let me know I need some help.

Hi I just landed in Canada and have to start sponsoring my Son (A 2 year old) for PR . I have started filling the forms but have a question as I have just landed and dont have Canadian tax CRA docs . Can I leave that section blank and provide financial details from my foreign assignments and current work assignment in Canada instead . Also I have savings in the state can that also be added to the financial declaration document .

Application update:

Applied online Jan 26 2022.
Recieved AOR on May 6 2022 by email.

Advice to anyone planning to apply to consider a paper application as it seems online applications are taking longer to get AOR.

We got ppr today so yours will be there today or tomorrow as well . Congrats
We did receive PPR last week. ECAS has decision made however GCKey says still in progress. I encourage everyone to follow ECAS as it seems more up to date. Flights are booked to go pick up our son.
Wishing everyone a wonderful day and hang in there if you are still waiting. It took almost a year.

Is it difficult to get a Canadian Visa now for a person from Eastern Europe? Maybe there are some government programs for newcomers who speak good English? Also, I am a doctor and a pediatrist, and it might be helpful. Do I need to get another diploma in Canada if mine is from another country? I hope that it is not very difficult. I already have some experience working for https://www.cameronmch.com/services/pediatrics/ in the US, and they have accepted me with the diploma that I had. I have been working there for three years, and now I have to move to Canada.

It's very difficult to practice medicine in Canada if you do not have your education and practice done in North America.

Google and find out.

That's not true for everyone. It depends on your circumstances.
People in very specialized fields (without some training or education from Europe) may also get in.
I know a young doctor from Honduras who has done Masters work in Europe and got a residency after only 2 years in Canada.

I am sure there are exceptions to specialized fields.
derffales only mentioned as a pediatrist and didn't mentioned any specialization. The difficult part is to get resdiency. And that's not yet "practicing" independently.

Hi,

I applied for spousal sponsorship last year and my wife was pregnant while I applied.I mentioned the same in my Application that I'm expecting baby. Now Baby is born and I'm applying for my Baby.Wife's medical was done backhome and waiting for Passport stamping.

I have following doubts on my baby's application If anyone could please help.

1)In Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008),In ,personal details section in the very beginning, should I keep it same info of my wife same (Same as when I applied her sponsorship) OR give my childs details on that section. There is already " Add dependent" section on Page 3 to Provide childs information on.

2)Is child the primary applicant now? In Signature of applicant,Can I put my signature and write "my child is minor"

3)In Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking form (IMM 1344) ,Item4,Person you are sponsoring,Can i put child's name? and Keep everything else the same

Any help will be much appreciated.:)

I am confused with your questions.

Since your wife hasn't landed/got COPR, her application hasn't completed. You need to add your child (assuming not born in Canada) to her application as dependent. Your child needs to get medical and background check (not much of background for a baby) and once that's all done, your wife and your child's passport will be stamped. Do not submit your wife's passport for stamping until adding your child and having baby to go through the process.

Your child is NOT the primary applicant. Your wife is, the baby is the newly added dependent.
