1. Applied in last week of march 2021
2. Reached them on 31st Mar in Sydney
3. Received AOR on 21st Apr
4. Sponsorship approved on May 18
5. Medical request received on May 18
6. Medicals completed on May 25

Awaiting next steps....

does anyone know how much more time it will take for complete approval?
I have a similar timeline, my medical was passed 9th may. Since the application is in progress in the final decission. I guess childs should be quick since they have no background check, but to be honest no clue how long. I have medical insurance till september hope I get it before that. Dont think it makes sense that our kids are not covered, while we are working. If you have a work permit that are covered if they are visitors, and once you become permanent resident they are not that makes no sense....

Hi All,
I am currently in India and moving back to Canada next week. Me and my wife both are PR and our baby born in India Oct 2020. Since I am moving back and will submit PR for dependent post landing. I already saw some forms over CIC website but looks confusing. Could you please tell me important basic documents require so that I can take all the copies/original before moving back so that I can submit paper based application as Online option isn't available.
Anyone who recently file and got any response/approved. I know processing time is now more than 18 months but still can anyone who applied and got approval before 18 months?

You have to download IMM 5534 which is a document check list for dependent child sponsorship application. You need to gather all the required documents mentioned in that check list.

Some common documents you will require:

- Photographs of your child (according to CIC requirements)
- Birth certificate of your child
- Passport copy of your child
- Any other document other than Birth Certificate that proves your relation (e.g. a copy of official family registration certificate from the Government etc.)
- Also if your spouse wont be accompanying you to Canada, then you need to read Part 6 (page 2 of IMM 5534 Document Check list) and see how you can address that requirement.

In short, IMM 5534 document check list contains all the supporting documents which you will need to submit along with your application.

P.S. Do check country specific requirements for your sponsorship application.

Hi - I applied for dependent child sponsorship for my daughter on May 2020(from inside canada - inland application), till now, i have received AOR, nothing yet, no updates for her or for me (sponsor).

Anyone in this situation? Is there anything be done, apart from calling/sending webform, where agents simply say wait...

Hello the month of May doesn't finished yet..AOR is up to 30 days so you should wait until June. Some people who applied last year are still wait for the AOR..A month is nothing..

I am afraid there is nothing you can do except waiting. If you have not yet linked the application number to an online account, do that right away. Any message related to your application will be sent to your online account.
I applied last year May 2020
Is your daughter currently on TRV?

Did you try to call CIC call center? Probably try to talk to your MP, his office can follow up with your case.

Well Adhaar card can be one, if it can show your relationship with your child. Another form of proof of relationship can be photographs of you and your child together taken at different time periods since the birth of your child (maximum 10 photos) - better to print it as you will be submitting it along with the paper application.

Hi,

What about the Non accompany issue you mention. I saw 5534 and totally confused :(. Do I need to write a LOE and tell that my wife will be coming with my baby and we already applied TRV for the same. ?

Yes exactly you need to write LoE explaining your situation. Also it would be better if you can include a separate lette from your wife, duly signed and notarized, which state that she will be flying back to Canada to join you once your child immigration gets approved.

Hi everyone, I have a dependent son who is not a repondant. that means I have not included him when I begin my application process. I saw a governement projet we allow us to apply for non repondant before september 2021. I want to know how I can include him as repondant whithout necessary be obliged to apply for his immigration right now. I just want to make him repondant like my two other son and be free to apply for their immigration when I want, provided they are always dependents.
