Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I want to apply for study permit in Canada, but I want my husband and my daughter (2 year)to accompany with me. Will it be difficult to get a dependent visa. plz suggest.

Hi,

We were in the same boat like you. However I have applied for my study permit, my husbands OWP and our 1 year old son's TRV together. I have got my visa approved but my husband and son are still waiting. We have applied through online with pre medicals on 17th August and received my PPT request on 23.

I would suggest you to make a strong SOP, show more than enough funds and good ties to home country.

Good luck with your visa application.

Hello Dayana1991,

Thank you so much for the clarification. Please let me know about the TRV and OWP about your husband and son. Please can you tell me which college or university you applied. Approximately how much funds should I show if its a two year program.

I applied for study permit and dependent visa at the same time. They were both approved. We both travelled together. Ensure you meet the income requirement to support your family.

@ Pinky4u

Sure I will let you know once they have their decision. We have showed just above 40,000 CAD. I am going to University of Regina for PhD.

@Dayana1991 best of luck. I am trying for January 2017 intake. Am I too late I have not written my IELTS as well

I haven't taken IELTS as well. It is not a university requirement since I have done my Engineering and masters from Anna University where the medium of instruction is English. I have already received my passport back with stamp. Just waiting for my husband an son's approval. Good luck for you.
