What study materials required - Does anyone have a good list?

Where to get the same economically? - India?

What do we miss out in preparing by ourselves as against going thru those test prep centres?

Hello, from what I read, your 66points are based on what you calculated after you included your english proficiency, which i gather you would have selected high proficiency. I have a feeling that if your work experience is increased, you might fall into the 'above 67s'.
I might be wrong anyway.........
And as for 3113 still being in the NOC, I think it should still remain there, but you know, the Canadian government has the final say.... , so we all need to keep our fingers crossed....

Can I use the work I did during before graduation ( I worked at the clinic run by my professor) if it is paid but relates to dental assisting....

I am sorry, but dental assistant work experience cannot be classified as dentist work experience. They are 2 different jobs and experiences.......sorry dear

I am planning to apply this year for 3113. I graduated last year and have 1 year work experience and I will be getting only 66 points ( with my husband holding a masters from USA). How to cross the threshold any ideas

sorry dear, but under the present circumstances you do not qualify to apply under this... u can always apply with 66 points and a letter addressed to the concerned authorities explaining and additional reason for you to qualify under the program. this is mentioned on their website.
there are strong chances for Dentists 3113 to stay in the 2012-13 NOC list. If u believe in the law of attraction and u want it strong enough, it surely will.

hello everyone... I'm also a dentist who has applied for immigration to Canada under the skilled workers category... I am new to this forum... I've just received my application no. What can i expect next??? and how much more time may it take for me to reach Canada.

I think there isnt any bad experience in the whole scenario.
I am apractising dentist in Karachi Pakistan, Last year when i came to know that my occupation is added in NOC list i took chance to apply for that, i visited a well known consultant, and dear tell u the truth i dont even when they applied when they recieved AOR. The point when i relaised its gettting in a good pace is when i got my medicals (check my timelines), it was very quick, I think i am really very luck in this respect. After that in only 4 months whole process completed.

Even still i m not fully prepared for complete move , coz i have a govt job, my own surgery and stuff like this, its a difficult decision.
My plans to land in march 2012, hope every thing goes right
