Hello Guys,
Hope you all are safe.
I recently applied for a visitor Visa with my family (father & mother) to Canada since I have a sister who lives in Canada & we haven't visited her in 4 years. My father was the primary applicant. We showed adequate funds in his bank account, I submitted all the necessary proofs from my current place of work proving that I am a permanent employee. My parents have got an approval on their respective visas & have proceeded to the next step..
However, I was denied entry cause of the below mentioned reasons.

----
1) I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. (We had stated that we are visiting my sister there)
2) I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. (We had shown more than sufficient funds in my Father's account since we had mentioned that he is the one sponsoring the trip)
3) I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. (Only my sister & her husband live in Canada & rest of us live in India. However, I don't understand this reason)

You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.
----

Please help me since we had already proceeded with our bookings and not sure why was my visa denied. I have a permanent job & a life back in the home country that I don't want to leave. We are merely going to visit my sister & travel. I had submitted my salary slips, letter of leave allowance, offer letter from my current company as well to back me up.

I am not sure how can I go about this & I really want to visit my sister. Kindly help me so that I can re-apply with a stronger case in hand.
Thanking you in advance!

How old are you? Are you under 22? If over 22, you need to show your own funds not the funds of your father. Do you have the funds to support your visit? How longs was the trip? Do you have any travel history to the US, UK, NZ or AUS that you can include? What family members are in India if your parents visit Canada?

You shouldn't book anything until you have an approved visa. You can reapply with your own funds (not your father's if over 22). Include your employment letter/payslips as well as other ties to your country since your whole family (I think) will be in Canada so property, investments etc. State your reason for coming to Canada during Covid - why is it essential.

Hello Naturgrl,
Thank you so much for your quick reply.
I am 26 years old. I showed the statement of my salary account, which is the account I use for majority transactions. I use another account for savings which I can show statements of when I reapply. For my understanding, how much funds should I have to support my visit? Since, I started working approximately 2.5 years back, I don't own a property of my own and I do not have my funds of my own more than 7 lacs. Will that be sufficient?
I also have a joint account with my father that has more balance so can I show that but he is the primary holder and I am the secondary holder of that account (is that important?).

I had included my offer letter, salary slips of the last 3 months, approval of my leave letter and letter stating that I am a full-time employee of the company.

The trip was planned for 17 days (13th April to 30th April). No, I do not have any International travel history. This is my first international trip.

(What family members are in India if your parents visit Canada?) I have my extended family members like my uncle, aunts and cousins in India.

Since the Covid scare reduced, we thought we will be reunited and do a family trip since we haven't met my sister in a long time and we wanted to travel and explore Canada as well. What other reasons do you recommend that will strengthen my case?

Please advise if I should reapply again, since I heard from certain forums that they are especially rejecting single people in the age group of 20 to 30, especially women. Is that true? If that is so, then do you think I should apply again and how soon should I apply?
I don't want to be rejected again for the second time as that will reflect poorly on my visa history.

Please advise on how can I reapply again and if you recommend it. Can you also advise me with any other ways I can make my application stronger?

Thank you again.

I can understand your pain.
To be honest it all depends on the officer, your application and pure luck.
My parents-in law and sister in law(25) applied together as single application.
Same case as yours.
She is working, showed offer letter, employment letter, 3 month statements, salary slips.
She doesn't have any property in her name.
These are the only documents we showed.
My parents in laws are working, so submitted their employments documents savings account and everything.
This case is exactly similar to yours.
All 3 got approved in Nov, 1.5 months after biometrics.
The reason is same as yours, to visit her brother here, spend some family time together.(submitted for 40 days)
For purpose of visit, only submitted flight itinerary details(we haven't paid for the ticket, it's just a booking)

Completely insane! I feel your pain because I went through this with my partner.

And I'm sorry to read that it depends who you get as an officer LOL it should not work this way! Either you qualify or you don't and this person provided enough material and proof like they ask on the application and still gets refused? I can't even believe I read that!

we are Canadians and these visas and crazy requirements are keeping us away from our loved ones.... I have written to my MP I think we should all start

You should be applying as a single adult as if you were applying on your own. The fact that you have minimal ties to your home country other than your job and have never travelled internationally is part of the stumbling block. Proof of more savings may help. Are your parents only remaining for 17 days as wall? Have they travelled to Canada for other shortvacations?

Absolutely. I have heard cases of people getting accepted as a family which is whyI thought would be higher if I applied with my family. Thank you for understanding.

Sorry for being so direct but how much funds did she show in her account while showing her statements? Just trying to understand if there is a benchmark for the funds. And it's so sad to know that it is based on luck. I am glad you all got to spend time together, I really hope that I get the chance to visit my sister soon as well :)

She showed around 10000 cad in her account and in the letter we had mentioned that, primary applicant, my father in law is also supporting the expense for the trip for all 3, which he had around 50k cad

There isn’t an exact amount. The fact that you don’t have a very strong profile with minimal ties (except a job), no previous travel, assume not a large amount of savings, etc. and the fact that your parents have also not travelled before and returned home all add up. All you can do is provide statements from your current savings account. If you think of any ties that prove that you need to return home you can also add that to your application.

Not usually based on luck. She did provide her own savings statement. They may have all had previous international travel history and the parents provided proof of quite a lot of savings N top of the sister’s savings.

I applied for my parents visit visa this January from Pakistan to visit my sister who is in Canada and expecting her 3rd child, who need parents support. I have attached property documents of my parents and business registration of my father and along with my sister doctor’s certificate and invitation letter.
Today I got refusal letter stating based on family ties in Canada and in your country of resisdance. I showed combined bank statement close to 20,000 CAD.
What should I do next. Should I reapply or not? Need your guidance.
