Good luck with all this Bishu!!

Hey Guys please advise me too.

I have also gotten married.

My application received date: May 28th, 2014
Marriage Date: June 30th, 2014
PER Date: Sept 19th, 2014.

I have not updated CIC after I got married on June 30th, 2014; I was waiting for the PER first. I have received PER a week ago/September 19th, 2014. After receiving PER I have updated NDVO about marriage and spouse addition.

Am I late in updating NDVO about my marriage? I waited till I get PER.

Yes, you are late. You should have immediately informed NDVO and not waited for over six weeks.

I have gotten a PER 8 days back. So in that case I am late?

No your not late on this... As a rule, you can only update your record ONLY after it is transferred to your VO which usually comes after a PER has been sent to the applicant

Again, it is only after PER that one is assigned a file number and UCI, which is the only reference when communicating with CIC

CIC Sydney does not receive any addition document/update aside your initial document.

You should seek for acknowledgement of your update... If none soonest, then fill all relevant forms, with evidence for the update I.e. Marriage certificate, that should have been filled including PCC and updated POF and send to your VO staying your UCI as a reference.

Nonetheless, VO gives just one last chance to update your records before issue a visa when requesting you to do medical... You could also wait for this moment for it would increase your processing time as your new addition would need to be sent a medical request afterwards.

Bushi must have gotten married before this last opportunity but did not update VO. Updating VO would cause additional POF, PCC, background check etc which was surely late after visa issuance... It was highly negligent on his part!!!

This make no sence!
How could he had informed NDVO when they hadn't receive his file yet?
No, it is not too late.

OK, I understand. If this was truly the very first opportunity to update, then that's the best that can be done.

I was told it was too late to add my spouse . They did not give any indication that my Visa was cancelled or any specific instructions.

I cannot have a conversation with CIC about that they mean specifically when they reply unclearly . I have to take their response as what ever they state .

Even the border officer was confused by response from CIC .

Bishu - What was the date of your wedding? When did you finish your medicals? and what was the date of your visa validity start period? On which date did you inform CIC about your marriage? Can you please elaborate?

Guys,

Here is my case. Can you please help me too?

I'm planning to get married in December. I have already done with my medicals.

App Date - 7th May, 2014
PER Date - 31st July, 2014
Medical Date - 13th September, 2014

I'm now waiting for my passport request. But as I'm going to get married in December, most probably my passport would have been stamped till then.
Court Marriage is not an option for me for some reasons.

Can you please help me to that when can I inform VO? Can I inform VO immediately after getting married but visa stamped?
Please help, I'm confused.

@ Jazcan,

advice is optional, do not insult anyone here.

@Bishu

U can go ahead and appeal, I feel appeal might take as long as the other application process.
I might be wrong.

all the best

With all due respect....they told you clearly it was too late to add your spouse yet you just "assumed" it was still ok to land? That would not be the response of an intelligent human being to a situation like this! Quite clearly you were told "it was too late to add your spouse" but you still thought you could just land and everything would be ok? COME ON! What WERE you thinking?
Exactly. Unfathomable.

No you are just fine. You'll have to add your spouse to your application which will take a little longer but it will not harm you at this point.

No. Not a problem at this stage. Nothing can be done until the VO begins processing his application, so he's fine. The real problem is when marriage occurs after visa issuance, like OP.
