I actually think thay Ryan Laurendeau got a call from his buddy that they needed more wood for their campfire that night. And because Ryan was short on time, he just took your applications and burned them that night while having a tall can with his friends.

On a more serious note: As previous posters said: Chill. Chill. Chill.

How on earth can you expect that the AOR times from before C-6 (3-4 weeks) are still valid for the application rush where the number of applications increased by several hundred percent? Of course it will take longer. Just because some people already received AOR that doesn't mean that your application won't receive it at some point. There are still AORs coming in every day for all days of October. So clearly they are still working on it.

You all seem to feel entitled to day-by-day treatment for AORs. No matter if that expectation is justified or not, it is unrealistic. Never in the history of the citizenship spreadsheet were AORs issued exactly on a day-by-day basis. Never. IRCC will not start it now.

Also, this forum seems to be really obsessed with AOR in an unhealthy way. There are applications in the past which received AOR very early but then took forever to make it to the oath. There are applications in the past which took a long time to receive AOR but then made to the oath very quickly. So why are you so focussed on the AOR date? It makes no sense.

Sometimes this forum is like a brood of chickens where one of them makes a noise and then everyone freaks out and runs around.
And then these stories start where people try to see patterns. I'm waiting for someone to claim that applications of people whose country starts with a consonant seem to be ignored by IRCC.

Long story short:
- Never has IRCC issued AORs exactly in the order of day-by-day submission. Never.
- Due to the initial application rush, of course many AORs will take longer.
- Just because someone else's application received AOR, that doesn't mean that you should have received it, too.
- Stop obsessing over the AOR date.
- Stop trying to see patterns in everything.

Also, as I say all the time: I am not defending the practices or IRCC, their processing times or the communication policy. But there is no point in freaking out over something that you have no control over.

What surprises me the most is that each of you must have gone through the PR application process earlier. I don't know about you but my PR process was just like this: No updates forever and still in the end things moved and worked out. Did I hate it? Yes. Do I understand if you hate it? Yes. Can we change it? No. But have you all forgotten how IRCC was back when you applied for PR? It was the exact same story.

I am glad that I sent my application through regular post so I have absolutely no idea if its lost by Canada Post or IRCC.

below is exclusive video of IRCC dealing with post-C6 applications, you seen it here first.

But reading the posts immediately following yours, you are preaching in the desert.

OMG, people are bugging IRCC call centre personnel, IRCC email address, IRCC social media, IRCC clerks by resending “lost” applications, now even MPs are drag into.

Things would proceed faster and with less taxpayer money spent if you simply wait for few weeks more.

Good news for Oct 12,13,16 applications. I just received AOR app received on Oct 16. I am among those folks who called CIC and agents told app is returned or mail is lost.

Indeed it is a good news. Did you send case specific enquiry or email CIC to find out your application?

I honestly wish CIC would save money on that useless hotline and instead hire a few extra processing officers. I don't think I've ever once got a satisfying answer out of the call centre. Every answer sounds canned and rehearsed, every piece of advice is tinged with uncertainty (and more often than not you don't get the same answer from two different agents), and most of the time they just say they don't know and proceed to give you overly-conservative advice so that you can leave them alone.

I wish there was a way to relay to the top brass of the CIC how utterly pointless that call centre is, but they'll just say "if it's useless, how come we get hundreds of calls a day?"...and they'd be right. We're part of the problem in thinking these guys have good answers. There's nobody to hold those agents to account if they give bad advice...the system is just broken

Obsessed with everything in an unhealthy way. You've seen the types of questions people were asking when they were filling out their forms..."should I use caps lock or proper case in my application?!", "What tone of black should I print my application in?", "My envelope weighed 20 grams but my friend's was 21 grams; I hope I didn't do anything wrong!", and so on.

I am usually the first to say "there are no stupid questions" and, yes, the new form was a bit quirky and unintuitive, but the questions I read on here were out of this world...and they were coming from people who have presumably gone through a similar process when they got their PR. Who cares if you put "N/A" or leave something blank if you have nothing to say? Do you really think THIS is why your file will get rejected? And the funny thing is that people will obsess over these minuscule details and then forget to sign their physical presence calculator or write their name on the back of their picture...

Those of us who will get rejected or get RQ'd will be because of things people aren't asking about...such as how to do proper due-diligence when recording their travel history or what resources they can use to help them ascertain their exact exit/entry dates. Everything is secondary to the travel history...hell, you can make mistakes up and down your form...if they aren't egregious, they'll be ignored so long as you've met the basic requirements for citizenship.

You are right like someone worried their application will be returned because they put 2017 yes for income tax file

you right like someone being worried they put yes for 2017 tax filing and they application will be returned seriously like the people opening the application and checking it don’t file tax return too.

Getting your application returned or getting request of additional information is not a big issue to worry about. But not getting AOR is a problem because you don’t know what to do next, especially it is further worrying if your original PCC is in the application as required, then resubmitting application becomes problematic . I hope till the end of this month oct 12-16 all get their AORs.

I told you all that this is a "crazy thread"... so, trying to rationalize and argue will not change the minds of those who are in panic mode. People will be... people.
