Delay in TRV after submitting passport at CPP - Ottawa?

Hi all,

Has anyone else experienced a delay in getting their passport back from CPP Ottawa? Some of my friends' passport was returned the very next day. In my case, it has been a week since they received it and they have not yet initiated a return of the passport (Xpresspost envelope sent for returning the passport has no entry in Canada Post tracking system yet). Is this delay normal?

Hello , when Did u Apply ? I applied end of august and im still waiting ,they are processin thé second week of septembre right now , hopefuly ill get mine next week

Just to clarify, I applied online and received a message from CIC that I should now send my passport for visa. I sent my passport to CPP Ottawa on Sep 18 and it was delivered there on Sep 20.

Did you apply online at the end of August or did you send you passport at the end of August when they sent you a message?

Hi ak172, I applied online last aug 9 and they response last sept 14 for passport submission and i sent it last sept 18 but until now no response from them and i'm passport was not send back to me. I keep on monitoring it from canadapost tracking system.I already rebook my flight. I emailed them that it was an emergency that is why i need to go home. I emailed them before and they replied last Sept 20 and asking for the tracking number,i thought they gonna returned it to me before sept 28 of my flight,but they not. They are so unfair and not undertandable to my situation.

Any news guys , they received my application august 29 , it's 1 months and 3 days and I didn't hear anything,the processing takes only 20 days

Im in similar situation. I applied sept 5, i got PPR on sept 23. I sent my passport on the same day. Reach there on Sept 25. It has been a week since they have my passport but the tracking number is not activate yet.

Anyone has any news? They said they are processing Sept 10. Not sure if it means they touch the file or it is finalized?

Hello , i received my passport today, u know what just email them about thé delay and dont Forget to give them ur tracking number, Thats what i Did last week , mine took 1 month and 8 days

That is long time. Did you have tracking number? Or they send by regular mail?

Finally the package is activated with canada post. It took me 1 month and 6 days. Not much faster.....

Sorry for the delay in replying. I received my passport about 2.5 weeks after they received it
