delay in passport stamp by CIC New Delhi under family class sponsorship

Hi There,
I applied for my spouse in December 2011 at Mississauga and got approval for sponsorship on 15th January 2012. The case came to Canadian High commission and they requested for landing fees and passport on 15th March 2012.After that there was no conversation from High commission side. I sent them an email reminder in April 2012,no reply. Then we were silent and waited for the passport or any conversation from there side.
Then on 8th October 2012 , we received the passport and letter from CHC requesting for PCC from UK and US , as my husband was in UK in 1996 and came back from there in same year and never went back. he was in US in year 2010. We arranged both PCC and submitted to CHC New Delhi in November 2012 and then again submitted the passport in 2012 December.

On 6th Feb. 2013 we received an email for re-medicals as the medicals submitted by my spouse expired (one year) and also request for new PCC came in . Now we submitted new medicals and new PCC on 14th April 2013. Now again there is no communication from CHC. Passport is lying with them since Dec. 2012.
Please do advice what we should I do? Regards, Ashima

Hey Ashima,

Since they requested for re-medical my guess is that you are almost there!
Did you check your e-cas?

Two things you can do -

1. Put in an inquiry through your local MP in Canada to see why this long delay.

2. Order GCMS notes for your file to check what is still pending.
