Thanks for the reply.

Were you able to figure out that you got 10 years multiple entry visa before getting the passport on hand?

hi I am permanent resident and I applied for my mother in law's visitor visa as my wife pregnant and got rejected 3 times saying not enough assets. now i am applying for my parents with lot of documentation like assets in India worth more than 2 Crore and 4 lakh liquid funds in bank my tax returns, payslips, utility bills and 15 k CAD in my account and applying for only 1 month but not mentioning that my wife is pregnant. just saying that they will come visit us and we will visit some places in Canada. is that good enough.

I have applied for my mother's visitor visa from VFS ahmedabad on Apr 26,2016. I am still waiting for decision.

Thanks,
Krunal

I am planning to apply for Visitor visa for my in laws in VFS Hyderabad. I have some questions
1. should they go for Upfront medicals? is medical tests needed for parents visitor visa?
2. I am on Open work permit now expiring on 17-Oct-2016. My PR application is under process. will they get multiple entry visitor visa for 10 yrs .
do i need to submit my and my wifes' OWP and our AOR of PR application as supporting docs.
3. Planning to submit my bank statement with a balance of canadian $ 20K and my payslips. anything else needs to be submitted as supporting docs?
4. should we submit any bank statements / property documents of my in laws?

Seniors, Please advise

Yes you have to submit property documents of your in laws submit your notice of assessment utility bills owp proof of relationship purpose of visit something to show that your in laws have ties to home country so they would leave like their business documents or job letter or properties and some money in their account too for the stay and travel ideally 1000$ per week of their stay. They don't need medicals now as they won't stay for more than six months. And don't apply for more than 2 months. Either way they get visa until the passport expiry date but they can stay for only six months.

Thank you Chefprashi.
In the TRV form i am filling i will put intended stay as 2 months. is that ok?
how much money in INR should i show in my in laws account?

You can even apply for only 1 month that way less funds would not hurt. Ideally you need to show about 50k inr in her account per week. And try to provide lots of ties to home country.

The property documents are in native indian language.
should they get a Notary of value of properties?

Hi all, i have a general question..
can someone please tell me if the visitor visa expires if not used within six months?

Thanks

Hi,
Today I received visitor visa for my parents for only 6 months despite requesting them to provide for 10 years. One thing is strange: They have given 6 months visa with ‘Multiple’ entry instead of ‘Single’ entry. I believe they usually give 6 months visa with ‘Single’ entry only, not multiple entry.
Can someone do know the answer. This seems like an error on there part and I am planning to write a mail to them in this regards.
Regards,
Akapoor
