My spouse has a BSc but we did not have an ECA done for it because ECA's are time consuming, expensive and it seemed unnecessary tbh. The degree is from a foreign institution and we are fine with not receiving points for it.
My question however is how the degree should be included on the application form.
A) Under Spouse Language/Education should the answer to the question "Has (individual) finished high school or any higher education (including university, college or vocational training)?" be 'No'?
OR
B) Under Spouse Language/Education should the answer to the question "Has (individual) finished high school or any higher education (including university, college or vocational training)?" be 'Yes' and then the education is included with 'No' given as an answer to the ECA question ("Has (individual) had an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) within the past five years for this degree, diploma or certificate?")?
In both cases the education has also be included on my partner's personal history because it was during the last 10 years.
This guidance page seems to suggest that only the principal applicant needs an ECA unless you are specifically looking to earn CRS points for spouse education but I just didn't want the application to be refused because I ticked the wrong box on the form.

TIA.
