Decision Made

I posted my Immigration application on the 29th June 2008 , got a Immigration file number visa post on the 22nd October.I ocassionally check my immigration status by checking online as it usually used to say that my Immigration procession started on the 9th of October 2009.

This morning I checked my status online, It sates that the DECISION HAVE BEEN MADE ON YOUR APPLICATION and you will be notified by mail shortly.

Can any one advise as to how log they will be taking on advising by post and what does this means when they say a decison have been made?? Will this means a positive sign or a negative.

Hi skhzkausar, does your NOC code fall under the new 38 qualifying occupations? If so, then it sounds positive, if not then it means your application has been "returned".

I am working as a quality assurance manager with a MSC from UK and enginner by profession. I have worked reputed projects like Dubai International airport/New Doha international airport/Jabelali international airport and Abu dahabi international airport.My wife is a Masters degree holder as well and she is a licensed pharmacist with well over 5 years working experience.

I am not getting a clear picture on the NOC's.I cant figure out whether I am on the list or not.May be i can quality under construction manager?? But I ma not sure..may be or may be not.

My job scope was to oversee Design, Detailing , manufacture and Erection of structural steel on these prestigious airports and many more other projects.

if any one has any idea on my NOC or my application getting qualified or not ..please advise.

If you applied under one of the 38 NOC's on the list, you would have been approved. If not, your application is probably getting returned. If you qualify to apply under one of the 38 NOC's on the list, you can apply again under that NOC.

You must know which NOC codes you put down on the application form. Construction Manager has a NOC code of 0711 (which is on the list). However, if you didn't expressly quote this on your submission form an immigration officer isn't going to investigate further. Given that you haven't been required to supply medical information, etc. I would have to say that your application has been rejected. I don't believe this would prevent you from re-submitting another application.

but i think the statement (decision made) is a sign of refusal
why ? 'cause if it is a sign of approval it should be (in process)

final decision usually is last step after medical & a lot of inquiries

Recently i have seen the " decision made" status in my online application status, i am waiting for their letter to know their decision, but i am confident its negative. my occupation is an Information Tech Infrastructure Associate Engineer, and i think it is not in the new NOC.

another point is, the decision made status should be the last step before getting the visa....and since we got it tooo early, even before medicals and other stuff....it means that we are out.

Currently i am considering the Quebec Program as an alternative....

I am in the same boat with you, My occupation is not the list I am waiting for the application and the refund, but I have a question: Can I send my application to Quebec before getting my documents back from Buffalo?

Could you tell us which CHC office you sent your FSW application to? And I guess you don't have AEO, right? Thanks for your reply.

I think I will not be wasting any more time on the Canadian Immigration, I look out for Australian Immigration.

My rejection letter came pretty quickly (within 2 weeks) of when it said "decision made" on the CIC status check page. I applied in London in April 08. My occupation is not on the 38 List. The rejection letter says the refund will be made within next 6 months (guess they're in a hurry to reject people, not so much in a hurry to give us back our $1100 lol!)

I applied for FSW in april 2008 from london. got the Immigration file no in july. now my status has been changed to "Decision Made"
i am sure they have rejected my application because i don't come in these 38 categories. now waiting for the officil letter from the embassy.

But my case is different. i got the employment offer from canada in nov and now i have moved to canada. now i am confused
what shoild i do? should i write a letter to reconsidertaion or should apply from canada. still waiting for letter.
After receiving letter i will write them about my employment offer.

Any suggestion would be highly appreciated?

I'm pretty certain this case will be considered closed as far as the CHC is concerned. However, if you now have an AEO then I'd just
resubmit a new application stating this fact.

You say you've already moved to Canada. Do you have some existing visa that you're going to use?
