Decision Made Two Months Ago - No Communication from CPP-Ottawa

So we're not sure what to do now .. We had PPR on February 7, submitted on February 11 and eCAS changed to Decision Made on February 20th and so far, no COPR. My husband's mailing address has always shown in eCAS our address here in Canada as he appointed me his representative, but he also has mail forwarding to a trusted friend in California, who reports nothing has been mailed there either.

The worst part is I've emailed the Ottawa office both in mid-March and at the beginning of April asking for confirmation that they mailed the COPR to the listed address and my emails remain unanswered.

I also ordered our notes a few days ago.

Any ideas on what else we can do? I thought we were nearing the end when we got PPR but now we feel like we're stuck in limbo.

Do this. When I was confused about the status of my sponsorship application I called and found the agent I spoke to very helpful. I'm sure they can at least shed some light on what's going on.

We have tried phoning the call centre but because Ottawa is a special case (yes, Ottawa is physically located in Canada but it functions like an overseas VO), they can't give us any information about our file and just direct us to the email address and fax number, which leaves us back at square one.

That is our next step - I just hope my MP is willing to help because we don't seem to have any other way of finding out information at this point.

Hm. What fashion are you e-mailing them in? Like, how do you write your e-mail and what does it say?

It is also very possible that you documents got lost in the mail.

I've sent a couple of emails, one with the subject line File Number XXXXXX, Status of Application and File Number XXXXXXX - Decision Made in February. I also responded to the original PPR request email, and none of the messages have been responded to besides the generic "Your message has been received." In the message, I request confirmation that paperwork has been mailed to the correct address and list the address. I also include my husband's UCI and file number in the body of the email. I'm just so surprised that they've stopped responding completely, because in the past they responded within a reasonable length of time (within a few days).

I too experienced them responding promptly... want me to e-mail them for you?

Don't worry, besides the fact that they are required to help you, they are usually happy to (trying to suck up to guarantee the sponsor's vote lol) . It won't be the actual MP but a member of his/her staff that will assist you. Usually each MP office has one staff member who is responsible for all dealings and enquiries with CIC and they know what they're doing.

Hello!

I am in the same situation your spouse was in.

The status says - Decision Made, you will be contacted soon.

No E-mails / No letters and it's been a month. My Canadian address is up to date and Ottawa doesn't reply to my e-mail nor are the Contact center people of any help.

My anxiety levels are very high. lol

Any insights? When did your husband get his passport request?

Did the E-mail or sent a letter requesting a passport? and after how long?
