Decision Made. Letter in the mail. Positive or Negative????

I'm new to this site and here is my timeline.

Visa Office......: Mississauga
App. Filed.......: 20-Mar-2012
Medical:.........: 18-Jul-2012
Additional Form: 04-Aug-2012
Decision..........: 21-Aug-2012 ("We sent you a letter on August 21, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us").

Direct from the CIC Website on my Status:
Sponsored Person:

Sponsorship Application Status: Permanent Residence Application Status
Decision Made Application Received

Still waiting on letter...

yes ours says the same thing.
this is the decision for the sponsor, step 1 decision.

so after this you will be on to step 2.

ours said they sent a letter in the mail too, but they didnt they actually sent me(the sponsor) an email to the email i provided.

our step 1 was approved and transfered to mexico city on april 5.

so on april 5 we got an email saying it was approved.
a few days later i checked ecase and it said decision made, blah blah blah... lol. but never received anything in the mail. i think they just have it set to say that.
but i dont know anyone who has ever received stage 1 approval or denial via regular mail. everyone gets it through email.

have you checked all your emails to see if they sent anything?

ours showed up in my husbands junk mail folder.

hmm weird.
well maybe they put down your email address wrong or something silly like that and instead are sending you a regular mail

but you CAN call cic.

we have someone in the mexico thread, they didnt receive any answer for a long time from their stage 1. so they called cic and the phone agent told them the sponsor was approved and gave them the file number because they never received any mail or emails. this was just recently too.

so its worth a try if you fond receive any mail soon.

Finally got through to the CIC. On hold now with them.

yay! thats great news!!
now you dont even have to worry about the mail they say they are "apparently' sending.

your file should be transfered to your visa office now and starting step 2.

We got the approval for the stage one by regular mail.
My husband got it (the sponsor) actually going through Quebec we need this letter to apply for CSQ (certificate selection Quebec).

As for you I think if you recieve a request for redo your medical I think you are at the final stage for step 2. I see you did your second medical at the and of July.

Very soon your visa will be issued (or your husband visa if he is the applicant)

Probably most of the time the approval letters are sent via email, more practical.

Hope you get soon your police check, I wish you too, this waitng is really killing us... :-\ I know for the new medical we have to wait 30 days to be updated, yours for sure its already updated, , mine its still in Bucharest my new medical will be send to London only at the end of this week. :-\.

At the end of the process you feel like you don't have patience left, but soon its going to be over and we are going to be with our beloved ones... .
