Finally I got PPR email yesterday. My medical expires in Jan 2015, let's see how much time they will give me to enter.

How long usually the validity of the Medicals? You are saying that your medicals will expire on Jan 2015.. When did you took you medicals?

Correct me if i'm wrong. The normal process is regardless of when the CIC stamped your Passport with the official Visa, the expiration of the same is only until your Medical expiration, right?

If so, in this coming months.. lets say the official Visa stamped on your Passport will be on November 2014, still the expiry will be on Jan 2015? Hence, you really need to be on Canadian soil before that expiration is due. Is my understanding correct?

I think you are right. My medical is expiring on 9th Jan .. so I guess they will give time till 16 Jan.. I think visa expiry date is always medical expire plus 7 days... let's see when I will receive my passport back

I am from Pakistan, I have applied through a consultant a week ago for FSW, he only has taken scan documents of me and my family with 200 dollar fees for file number of me, my wife and nine month's kid, today he sent me an email with some kind of CFN number that is:

Please tell me what is this how can I check this online and also tell me is this a fake. Please I couldn't find anything like CFN on internet regarding Canada Immigration. Please help me.

The No. u have quoted has nothing to do with the one to be allocated by CIO,Sydney , Nova Scotia where ur file is to be sent for initial review. It seems to be ur consultant's own reference number.Only after ur file gets the first stage review by CIO, A TEMPORARY FILE No.is allocated nd then, it will be sent to ur visa office for its approval.The moment ur visa office gets through its quantitative check u will receive ur permanent file number, which alone can help u check the status of ur file.

Hope, it may help u clear r doubt.

They will extend your medicals and PPR to follow at some point.

I have seen two cases online here where the members received PPR three days after Decision Made. 2-8 weeks will be a killer on my part!

Im new to this forum. I am from USA so im curious about how things work for us . I am waiting for MR now. Will they request police certificate again? in that case FBI report will take at least 2 months. What should I do? if there is not much time left later for PC.
pls share your exp about 2nd Police certificate.
