We got a call from Embassy on 29th April and they reconfirmed that in case we are ready to move on short notice, they will send us the visa. In the end of the call they confirmed that they will send the visa in a matter of days.
However, there is no change in VFS status till now. Can anybody comment if this delay of so many days is normal? We have 30 days for our medicals to expire......
That was my old post..

NOW, We have 24 days left for the medicals to expire. Will they send the visa now? How much are the chances? In case they send re-medicals, how much time can the entire process take for the visa?
Seniors and others please comment.
We have been sending them mailers that we are ready to move on short notice and we do not want re-medicals.

I was asked to retake the medical exam. The medical clinic told me now it submit results electronically so it only take 3 business days to submit it. But you have to make an appointment in advance for the exam. In my case I received the VO email on April 28, can only book an appointment on May 5 and it has been submitted on May 9. But VO does not respond whether they has received it or not since it has appeared the line "medical result has been received" for my for first medical result.

AINP Strategic Recruitment Program

App Filed: 18-10-2013
Med Request: 16-11-2013
Med Done: 28-11-2013
RPRF Fee: 19-3-2014
In process: 19-3-2014
Decision Made: 12-5-2014

What's next in the process? We are from visa exempt countries so we shouldn't need a visa in the passport and we are in Canada currently on WP's.

How will we be contacted, and what is the likelihood for PR?

You will possibly be contacted for a scan of your passport ID page (they do this only for some visa exempt countries for some reason) or they will send you confirmation of permanent residency within 5 business days. Since it is a long weekend it may be delayed.

just had a request for copies of passport and Passport photos. Do they only need the ID pages? Or is it the full thing copied?

Why would they need a copy?

what does it say in the email? AFAIK it's only the ID page.

STEP 2: PHOTOCOPY OF PASSPORT, PICTURES AND BIO DATA We require A PHOTOCOPY of passport and 2 passport size pictures for you AND for each accompanying family member. DO NOT SEND YOUR ORIGINAL PASSPORT. You are a citizen of a visa exempt country

So i assume they want you to send it via mail ? I was under the impression you could have sent it by scan (i haven't yet received the email but I've seen other visa exempt people say they sent it by email).

I'd just email them back to make 100% sure they usually reply the next day.
